Hundreds of acres of naturalized land. Panoramic view of mountains and unobstructed view of the night sky. Beautiful sunrises, sunsets and starry nights. Plateau Hame De Colquhoun is reasonably private and you can make your visit your own. Enjoy being yourself amongst the space.. 420 friendly. Located on edge of the Mesa overlooking the Rio Grande with beautiful mountains views, keep in mind this is an ongoing project and much of the land is untamed and in all its natural glory. *Snakes, other wild life included* Like the lives of pioneers before us the amenities are sparse. If you enjoy ruggedness and serene isolation with majestic views of the local mountain ranges, then this is your place to visit.

Plateau Hame de Colquhoun

The Hiker Hideout is primitive, hike-in, wilderness campsites. There is no water, showers, or toilets. The property once had a historic cabin, unfortunately the cabin and outhouse were destroyed by wildfire in 2022. The Hiker Hideout is an inholding surrounded by El Malpais National Monument, all park rules apply.

NO Fires, NM is under a deep drought . 

We are dog friendly , one large dog or 2-3 tiny dogs . Please clean up poop, and use a leash . No barking for hours on end. We do love dogs . 

NO Smoking , no where, go for a walk.

 No Drugs , we are Cannabis friendly . No wild party night , a couple of beers is fine .

You are in the city , in a suburban area. Close to the Rio Grande Nature Center and the River . We have a 2 acre forest behind us . Dark at night . 

We are one hour south of Santa Fe, NM. 3 hours from Taos, NM . 

2 and half hours north of T or C, NM . 4 and half hours north of Silver City , NM .

There is shopping in our area for food. Gas, close by too . Walmart is one exit away .

You are parking in parking lot , on a dead end road. You have excess to private organic gardens. Which are walled in and very  private . We have Wifi . 

We do Urban Permaculture , mostly fruit, flowers and herbs .

We provide an inside bathroom , which includes towel, soap and shampoo . There is a laundry room, we can Not let people wash sleeping bags and thick blankets . Too heavy duty , there is a laundromat , 1/2 a mile away . Bring your soap, to use. 

You can use the kitchen , Wear a mask at all times inside but not outside. There are picnic tables all over the property .
