Quiet campground, on beautiful golf course.

Rick (the owner) is very accommodating, plenty of full hookuo sites and also another section with just W/E.

One of My Favorite Spots

Lily Bay is a well-maintained state park that sees a lot of traffic through the year, but has sites that can make you feel isolated. I love to go in the summer when Moosehead is at its warmest. If you're into adventuring, it's a short drive up to Kokadjo and the Golden Road, where you can look for…

Quick Trip

I’ll preface this by saying that we got in after dark and left by 10am so this review is limited. First, while being very nice the front desk worker was not very helpful in helping us understand the layout and our best choice for tent camping that night. She was just not very communicative. After…

Phenomenal Fall Conditions

Amazing clear water lake. 3 to 1 moose to human ratio, and abundant nearly tame birds and furry creatures. Haunting loon calls in the evening. Simple yet well maintained sites and facilities with responsive staff and relaxed, respectful neighbor campers. Sweet kayaking.

A little loud.

If you want to ride ATV trails, fish and swim in the Kennebec River, ride mountain bikes on the Kennebec rail trail this is a great place to stay. The down side is the truck traffic on the nearby roads. The campground is near an intersection so logging trucks slow and accelerate nearby starting…

Close to the great north woods

This campground is a decent place for a home base while exploring the region.

Great family oriented Campground!

We booked Holden KOA for a quick weekend getaway. We booked a deluxe patio site. The site was great, flat and easy to back into. The campground was clean and other campers were very friendly and very family oriented. Lots of organized activities and great Bingo on Saturday night. We did the pancake…

Back again and just as good

Back for the second year in a row. Weather was amazing, sun sets were unmatched and fishing was on point. Again bring what you need with you as this campground is well out of the way.

No frills waterfront camping

Head north out of Greenville on the east side of Moosehead lake and shortly before you reach Kokadjo, turn right and follow the road along the edge of First Roach Pond. Near the far end of the lake you’ll come upon a small campground with a number of named waterfront sites on the left and a grassy…
