Needed a FHU site to flush the black tank near Wichita. Wanted to stay in the area after a Boondocker’s Welcome stay to finish our sight seeing. Backin site, very close together, concrete, but not level. Verizon signal great, close to groceries and restaurants. Believe a lot of residents are here…
I am so glad we found this spot on Dyrt. We stopped here on a loooong drive from Southern California to Missouri. Sadly we could only stay for about an hour but I would love to spend much more time here.
We were at the Sandy Beach campground. It was a Friday afternoon and there was barely anyone…
This is a resort. Everything you could want. Swimming pool, chuck wagon on weekends. Free minutes golf, etc. A very nice playground for children. Shower/Restroom. Even propane filling station. Laundrymat. Fishing. Small & Large cabin rentals. Rv rentals. You can stay a day or a year!

We arrived after 10pm the man in the office had our paperwork ready for us and escorted us to our lot. It was a huge level lot. Surrounded by open fields so we were able to fall asleep to the crickets. Such an easy stop for a cross country trip.
Lake Afton used to be a good family camping and day site. Now, it is filled with campers who take over the shelter houses by parking in them, putting up tarps with duck tape, and living there for months. The trash is everywhere and no one seems to know how to be kind and respectful of others who…
We just bought a travel trailer, and this campground was recommended to us as a good place to stop on the way back home by an employee.
There are 12 gravel pull thru sites with 50, 30, and 20 amp service. Each site also has water, a fire pit with a grate, and a nice picnic table (the kind made of…

Was a spacious, shady camp along the river, fished, some short hikes and visited the great salt plains state park and dug crystals that can only find there. Clean bathrooms, showers, and water and elec. Would stay there again..
Stayed a night here. It was nice and quiet and lots of space in between the camp spots. Showers are a little rudimentary with no real privacy. Big stalls, but doors are only half size so anyone can look in.
Large back in space with a picnic table, fire ring with grilling grate. Lots of shade at this spot. Not far from the entrance of the state park. There is a small store just outside the park with a restaurant. State park has boat ramps, day use areas and a sailboat marina with sailing school.
Basically an average park all the amenities full hookups. Nice staff dog park . Campers close together. A nice rest stop for traveling through.
Great open campsite. Management also worked with us to get a bigger spot so we could pull our vehicle in. We did have some trouble with the vehicle pass. Purchased through the website but there wasn’t really a way to prove it beside the email receipt and they wanted us to purchase another. We…
Exceeded expectations! The park and camp grounds were clean and quiet. We will absolutely be back. The salt flats are incredible!
It was awesome!! Beautiful!! Quit!! Refreshing!! Just what I needed. Clean, Staff was great.
Yep, we saw bald eagles every day of our stay. Majestic!
This campground is large and spread out. We road our bikes over every inch and clocked 12 miles. If you do mountain bike, you would enjoy the 9 + mile trail ( we walked it). It's flat and not challenging, but really nice, secluded and…
Stopped here early in February 2021 for one night, on the way home to Missouri from Arizona. Needed a quiet place to get a nights sleep and drain the tanks before putting the RV back in storage for the rest of the winter. This campground met all our needs. Telephone reservations were a little…
