Amazing location!

This was such an inviting clean and beautiful camping area. Right on the water, you can rent boats/kayaks/paddleboard, fishing, so much to do. They have a camp shop, with ice pop water popsicles, freeze treats and a nice hang out spot inside with a lovely fan. The water was extremely low, but…

Very basic

The site was very basic. It was not mowed, so we pitched a tent on tall grass. There’s tons of firewood from fallen trees in the woods. It’s walking distance to get to the lake, but very dense algae and moss in that area, kids had hard time maneuvering it. Bathrooms are so stinky! The vault…

Nice place

I called at the last minute. No answer , left a message. Mike called back within 5 minutes! Nice guy, gave us a spot. When we got there, he gave us our choice of 2 spots! Nice looking pool, but we didn’t use it. So nice after a looong day of traveling!

Beautiful River

Stop here on a whim. Loved the view of the the Mississippi River. But, the trains going by during the night was a bit annoying. Though, would not stop me from camping here again.

Quiet, clean, comfortable

Car camping in my Prius and wanted to stay in a non electric (ie tent) space for $12 but all the tent spaces didn’t seem to have anywhere flat to park. From what I could see, most of the nonelectric/tent were down at the bottom of slopes. Ended up paying the $18 and staying in a nice electric spot…

My favorite campground

This quant little campground is my favorite. There's plenty of room between sites in the electric section and there's even more room along the river in the primitive section, which is my personal favorite. The bathroom /shower house is the nicest & cleanest I've seen. The camp host's are very…

Good hiking & fishing!

Lots of intense trails to explore but some tree were in the way due to a past storm. Close to cedar river for awesome fishing!

Family campground

This is a real family oriented campground. Although it is a primative campground, it allows for fishing, boating and a playground.

Great views, clean campground!

So many great views! Tons of short, fun hikes to try out. Some sites are close together in open fields, but most are spread out and nice! Our site, 42, was a great tent site near the entrance but away from heavy traffic. Spacious and only one close neighbor. Will definitely be back!

Nice, quiet out of the way campground

Eden Valley Refuge is a nice out of the way campground on the banks of Bear Creek. We stayed in the RV/Camper side of the campground which is on the other side of the road from the refuge and trails. We stayed in spot #10 with was nice and roomy. All 28 sites have electric and water. Some are a…

Great view of the river

The park is a little hard to find as the signs are not obvious and the road circles the greyhound track and a casino hotel.  Many of the sites have a riverview and a second line of sites back up to the woods.  There was evidence of wet conditions and the park had recently added some gravel to the…
