Joinerville County Park

Boaters and anglers looking for direct water access will find Joinerville County Park positioned along the Maquoketa River with a hard surface boat launch entry point. This county-managed facility operates as day-use year-round, with primitive camping available only through approved permit applications submitted one month in advance.

The park connects via gravel access roads that wind through the grounds. Basic amenities remain limited, with no restroom facilities on-site, though campfires, pets, and alcohol are permitted for approved overnight visitors. Campers can access sites by driving in, walking, or arriving by boat. For those seeking developed facilities, Maquoketa Caves State Park Campground provides full amenities three miles northwest.
