Riverview Ridge

Where the North Fork Maquoketa River curves through eastern Iowa, Riverview Ridge accommodates both RVs up to 50 feet and tent campers on a private 40-acre property. The campground charges per person rather than per site and offers full hookups for RVs alongside primitive tent sites positioned closer to the water. A shower house sits beneath the office building, and each site includes a picnic table and fire ring. Trees provide spacing between sites, though the property hosts both seasonal and overnight campers. Two-hour tubing trips launch directly from the campground, and ATV trails attract riders who park their machines at campsites. For different terrain, Pictured Rocks Co Park offers bluff-top camping southwest of here.

Unique River and Trail Access Campground

Two hour float trips on the North Fork Maquoketa River are available directly from the campground. There is a mix of permanent and temporary campers. The tent sites, nearest the river, are well spaced with flush toilets. Apparently there are also good trails, as many of the campers have ATV’s parked at their sites. The shower house, under the office, was spacious and clean.

Love this place

Great private campground. Lots of trailer sites but the gem is the tent sites down by the river. Very clean and the office was so friendly. Every Friday they do a themed dinner and play a movie.

Trees & River

This site was great in many ways. I loved that there were so many trees, that there was plenty of space between you and your neighbors (privacy is a must), and each site had a table and fire ring.

It was priced per person and not per site, that was interesting.

There was a nice shower house, check out time was later then most so we didn't have to rush out, and there are several recreation activities. They also offer tubing pickup.
