Fort Pierce-Port St. Lucie KOA

With 33 sites spread across regular, premium, and extra-large options, this family-run KOA accommodates RVs up to 90 feet with full hookups. The campground sits 1.5 miles north of Fort Pierce on Highway One, providing drive-in access year-round. All sites feature level gravel surfaces, fire pits, and brick patio areas with picnic tables, though privacy between sites remains minimal in the typical RV park layout.

Two unisex bathhouses serve the property with air conditioning and immediate hot water. A small playground and designated pet area complement the clean laundry facilities. About half the sites house long-term residents, creating a mixed community of travelers and locals. T-Mobile service works reliably throughout the campground, and WiFi reaches all areas.

The location puts a Publix grocery store, restaurants, and downtown Fort Pierce within walking distance. Runners can follow sidewalks for a three-mile route to town and back. Christine notes the facilities are "clean" and "everything works" despite the older infrastructure. Sites toward the rear of the property experience less road noise from Highway One.

Tent campers find a separate area with six sites, though this section offers little privacy or tree coverage. For RV travelers seeking alternatives, Causeway Cove Marina and RV Park provides waterfront camping just over a mile southeast.

A basic, older KOA with clean facilities and friendly staff in a convenient location near Publix and restaurants. Guests frequently mentioned full hookups and well-maintained amenities, though privacy is limited and road noise may be a concern.

Rude

We didn’t stay here but I was trying to get a reservation for this winter. The website says you have to call them. It gives you no information so you have no choice. Then the lady that answered must have felt I was bothering her. She asked what length our Rv was and I told her and immediately she said no we have no spaces available! Put that on your website and you’ll avoid all of those pesky phone calls.

Close to town and well-kept

General: Small family-run KOA campground (33 sites) located 1.5 miles north of Fort Pierce on Highway One. All sites are FHU with a combination of regular, premium, and extra-large sites. There is also a tent site area.

Site Quality: All sites are level and gravel with a fire pit and a brick patio area with a picnic table. Typical RV park layout with minimal to no privacy separating sites.

Bathhouse: Two unisex all-in-ones that were clean and air-conditioned. The shower had immediate hot water and good water pressure.

Activities/Amenities: There is a small playground and pet area plus a clean spacious laundry area. It is close to town. There is a manatee center and Navy Seal Museum (but we didn’t explore either one) close by in addition to shops and restaurants in Fort Pierce. I was able to enjoy a 3-mile run to town and back on sidewalks.

This campground was more expensive than we usually like to spend but it was a convenient location for us to have dinner with a family friend. We arrived after the office was closed so did not have any interaction with staff but our check-in paperwork was readily available. We appreciate that we were tucked in at the rear of the property which lessened the road noise (and we didn’t have neighbors on either side of us). I would rate this three stars for our purposes but as it was well-kept and for others may suit their needs, it merits four stars in general.

Convenient, Clean & Very Well-Run

Clean facilities, everything works, staff is wonderful. Walking distance to Publix, restaurants, Old-Town. Kind of a surprise, right on highway 1, but we felt comfortable, had good privacy. It’s older, but I would stay there again.

Location and satisfies the needs

It is a smaller rv park that has electric and water. There are about 50% that live here. There are 2 unisex bathrooms with showers. The internet works, so does TMobile. It is walking distance to Publix and a restaurant/marina.

Decent RV spot

This is a basic KOA with full hook ups. It’s an older facility located in town. There’s a grocery store within walking distance. It’s not my idea of a great camping spot but meets the need when passing thru or visiting someone in the area. Nice staff.

Not good

Tent area provided zero privacy. It was basically a lineup of like 6 sites without any tree/bush coverage. The rest of the park was packed with RVs. Not my scene at all. We left after about an hour of being there. They do have a small dog park, however
