GuideOur site was a level full hook up. The road on the FHUnloop is narrow and hilly. Out site was uphill and at a difficult angle. Plenty of bigger TTs and 5th wheels were camping. The lovely camp host, Carol, kept the bathhouse spotless.
Sadly most of the park, including the beach, was closed for major renovation while we were there and it was 99 degrees out. Very buggy.
GuideThe campground is wooded and only has electric hookups available. The sites are well spaced. The bathhouse is dated and was clean enough to use. There isn't much to do in the park but it was an ok jumping off point to visit St. Michaels. Good dump station and potable water fill. Spigots throughout the campground.
ScoutPrivate.startup on a nice piece of land very close to Assateague. A little Rustic with some small cabins. RV sites are very large and located along a treeline. 30 amp power works fine but odd numbered sites have the outlet on the wrong side of the trailer. Power is for two sites. Economical but limits how you can park to how long your cord is. Very clean facilities. I think it’ll keep getting better every year.

ScoutWe’ve been staying at Beachcomber for years. Packed with activities, a clean beach, choice of two pools and two laundromats, fairly spacious sites, friendly staff and lots of areas to walk the dogs or let them play. It a gated resort which makes it incredibly safe and something that gives us piece of mind while out exploring. Lots have plenty of trees and greenery to help keep you cool and RV in the shade during those hot muggy days. All the lots have sand which can make the RV messy but it’s the Jersey coast so it’s to be expected. The only complaint I have and seemingly many others is that the speed limit in not enforced and way too many people drive through VERY quick 15mph+ Every time our kids leave to bike around and play we worry about their safety. If beachcomber could get that under control I’d rate them 5star. Prices are steep but given the amenities and overall safety within the resort we overlook the higher cost
ScoutPositive: Our site was HUGE!!!! It was also super private with trees and a lot of privacy from the road and our neighbors. We had friends stay in the lean-tos nearby and others visit. We had room to park several cars. This would be a great site for an RV plus a few tents. The roads were all recently paved. There are 3 campgrounds here: North Shore, Miesle and CCC. CCC is the only one with electric and water hookups on site. We used our RV bathrooms most of the time and stayed 3 nights.
The Kayak and Canoe rentals were right near us. The nature center had planned activities for families each day. The swimming lake was beautiful. We biked the trails, and hiked others that didn't allow bikes. They are putting in new bathrooms at Miesle this year. If you don't mind dry docking, then stay on that side. I was happy to see that they had cans for recycling. which often campgrounds do not.
Negative:
-We were NOT happy that the bathrooms next to us were closed, apparently for years, and it was not noted. We purposely booked in 105 due to the proximity. The other bathrooms in the CCC were a good walk, and pretty run down. I was impressed that they had a laundry facility though.
-Also, there was a dip in the site when backing in and our fifth wheel was bending to the point of rubbing the top of our truck when backing in. It also had rained and there were puddles in the sand.
-Virtually NO cell service with AT&T, TMobile or Verizon. AT&T we the better of the 3. Our Winegard/Gateway give us no internet which we normally get. There'd be way too many trees for Starlink. We were able to tune into some really dorky TV stations. One was in Japanese, two were in Spanish, and got some oddball stations in English.
- The worst was the dump station. It is just a little hole on the side of the road and the ONLY dump station for the 3 campgrounds! It was very unlevel and not easy to fully dump our tanks. It was also Memorial Day weekend and the line at checkout caused us to wait 2 hours to dump!! Of course then we hit all kinds of traffic coming home.
We might be back and stay in CCC closer to the open bathrooms, but they REALLY need to do something about the dump stations.

Cell service (T-Mobile) was spotty at times, bathhouses were fine, and the ranger was on patrol regularly. We felt very safe!
