Sitting on the edge of Rehoboth Bay in Millsboro, Delaware, Sun Outdoors Rehoboth Bay draws RV travelers and families looking for waterfront access with a full roster of on-site amenities. The campground accommodates rigs up to 90 feet, and as Mike J. notes, "sites are spacious and roads are wide," which makes maneuvering large motorhomes considerably less stressful than at more cramped coastal parks. Sites vary in surface, with gravel, paved, and concrete patio options available. Shade is limited. Most vegetation was planted relatively recently, so campers who run hot should plan accordingly with awnings or portable shade structures.
The bay frontage is a defining feature. Waterfront and lagoon-side sites put campers within steps of the water, and paddle boarding, kayaking, and crabbing are all doable without leaving the property. A private beach and a separate dog beach give both two-legged and four-legged guests a place to get into the water. A public boat launch sits just outside the campground for those trailering watercraft. On-site, the amenity list runs long: two pools (one with a swim-up bar), a tiki bar, an ice cream shop, a restaurant, a camp store, and golf cart and bike rentals. Daily trash pickup at each site is a noted convenience.
The campground runs full hookups with electric, water, and sewer connections, plus WiFi throughout. Multiple bathhouses with laundry are spread across the property. Cell coverage has drawn mixed comments. A few reviewers flagged slow WiFi during peak periods, so those working remotely or streaming should have a backup plan. Golf cart traffic moves quickly through the property, which is worth keeping in mind when walking with kids or dogs.
Rehoboth Beach is roughly 17 miles away, but the campground runs a shuttle, which helps given limited parking at the beach itself. Campers wanting a different experience can find public land options nearby, including Delaware Seashore State Park Campground and Indian River Marina, both a short drive southeast. The season runs March 30 through October 31. Reservations are recommended, especially for holiday weekends, when the campground fills completely.
