Nice surroundings BUT an Owner That Does Not Care or is Non Existent?!

We have stayed here for a few years. They have rules but no consequences. The"Quiet Hours" rule of 11 PM to 8 AM is a joke as is the"5 MPH" rule(watch your kids!). The last 3 years we have stayed weeks that include Columbus Day Weekend. Each year, Columbus Day Weekend Saturday night is"Party Time" at Whippoorwill C/G. Drunken"frat boys gone wild" make it impossible to sleep and the seasonal campers are afraid to complain. I have made the office aware and have called the"after hours" phone number but things do not change. I have asked the office twice to speak to the Owner("not in") and have asked twice for a call back from the Owner(since mid October 2022) but STILL NO RETURN CALL FROM the"OWNER". We have decided(as many before and after us) that we will NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN.

Tranquil Family Oriented Refuge. Close to Best Beaches in New Jersey!

I took my 11 year old daughter to the campground I used to stay at when I was a child.  Alot has changed at Wippoorwill campground since I was a little kid.  But even with all the changes and upgrades, it still felt like I was home again!  We stayed in one of the cabins.  Which was a perfect compromise when dealing with a child that doesn't want to sleep outside "in the dirt" as she likes to say.  The cabin was very comfortable and spacious for the 2 of us.  We had a great time taking advantage of all the amenities available.  My daughter loved it and we will certainly return next season!

For Full Timer

This campground was for full timers. My kids Loved the arcade. We are from the Midwest and we HATE sand. This campground was on sand, but not right on the beach. 😳😬 Bathrooms were very nice!! And I did 4 loads of laundry and that was great too - and cheap for laundry. Close to the beach and boardwalk (15 mins drive). The mosquitoes were vicious.

Quiet and friendly

Great campground! Pool snack bar is fabulous!!!! Roads r tight to navigate and our site was a little difficult to back into. Campground was clean and very quiet. The only thing that concerned us was there were a lot of little kids walking around unattended. We will def go back.

One of our favorites!

Er try to stay here at least once per season.  The sites are spacious, the pool is awesome and the staff is very Friendly and efficient.   Check in took less than 5 minutes. Everything was clean and ready for us.  Ocean City beaches and boardwalk are just a short drive away and you can get beach badges right at the campground.

Whippoorwill

Very nice camp sites. Pool looked amazing but it rained the entire weekend. Very friendly staff. Bath houses were extremely clean. Camp Store had a lot of supplies if needed.

Seasonal Campground- profiteering from Seasonal residents

As a seasonal resident for 14 years- having raised my children in WW and have so many wonderful memories. The Covid 19 pandemic has tarnished those memories. Seasonal Residents are seeking justifiable pro-rated fees for the 2020 season. It is an unfortunate time for everyone but demanding full payment from your seasonal residents is nothing short of price gouging and profiteering at the expense of the little people. Very sad that numerous private campgrounds in South Jersey feel it is the job of their customers to fund them so they can profit while so many are suffering."Final payment will be due by May 1, 2020. Given the delayed opening, we have made the decision to extend a onetime discount of 350.00"- which does not even cover 12 days"amended 2020 seasonal contract attached"- you send out a new contract and change the wording to include gov. shutdown- While we are in the Shutdown!!! This is nothing short of disturbing and wrong!!!!
