Fon du Lac County Waupun Park

    Peaceful wooded camping

Quiet level throughout. Spots for a couple tents and a camper at each site. Disc golf and a small fishing area. Golf course right next-door so close you could walk to. Most of the sites were in a wooded area, which gives you some privacy. Only downfall for us was distance to the restroom as there’s only one so if you’re in the back of the campground, you gotta walk all the way upfront.

    Waupun Park Campground

Waupun County Park WI - Campground

Family friendly campground, playgrounds, pickle ball court, showers, clean bathrooms, fire rings, shared water spigots & power at camp site. There is an outdoor pavilion for groups, firewood for sale at host. Lamp posts light camp road but not overwhelming. Nice shaded sites with mature white oak trees. Enjoyed and recommend if looking for full service campsite.

    On The Rocks Family Kampground

    Do not recommend

Check yourself in and don’t expect to be welcomed by staff. Restrooms are filthy. Office, restaurant and bar only open Thursday through Saturday. When we messaged to ask when the restrooms will be cleaned, it took 2 days and a phone call to respond. Of you like customer service and clean facilities, this is not for you. There are more campgrounds to choose from in the area.

    Scheffel's Hideaway Campground

    Rude Owner

My wife and I were looking for a nice campground in this area so we could visit family and my cousin mentioned Scheffel's. I did not read all of the reviews but instead balanced out bad reviews with good ones. Unfortunately, the bad were not exagerrating. Reservation process was ok though not automated. Reserved in January and female owner stated they dont man the phones much while closed. Ok, she seemed nice. Little reaponse from them on followup emails. We checked in on a Thursday. Husband owner guided us to our site and advised us to be aware of crown. Husband was very pleasant. No issues there. Friday morning my wife and I, both seniors, were walking our dogs. We were walking across the playground, dogs had not done anything yet, when the female owner came charging out of her office screaming at us that we cannot walk the dogs there. She stated there were signs. The one sign on the side we entered was fully obscured by a short tree. We started moving in the direction she pointed and my wife said we always pick up after our dogs. She yelled again. She must have stated 3 times she was the owner. I quietly muttered"wow" as I was amazed at her rudeness. She turned and yelled again and I explained we were moving as directed. She started heading back to the office when my wife stated"God Bless You". She was not being sarcastic. We take our faith seriously. The lady turned around and told us to pack up and leave. No reconciling, no working it out. If we were not out by noon she was calling the police. She refused to give us a refund for the 8 days remaining. She has not returned phone messages or emails. We were 800 miles from home and at the beginning of our family visit, I was born in the area. We were very fortunate to find a suitable campground. I have never in my life ever been treated as rudely by someone in the"hospitality" industry. Sorry for the long review. Dont discount the negative on this one.

    Kewaunee RV & Campground

    5-Star Rating Awesome Campground

This site is beautifully maintained with swimming pool, volley ball, game area, large park like setting to walk your dogs. Owners are the best. Variety of options for camping including cabins, laundry room, country store. Kewaunee is delightful with a lighthouse, stores and eateries. Minutes to Lake Michigan and Door County few miles away and 35 minutes into Green Bay. Will return.

    Fremont RV Campground

    Overpriced

We stayed here for a night to visit Union Farm Cheese Factory. The campground was expensive at 80$ for water and electric only on a dirt pull through. The bathroom weren’t very clean either. Lots of full timers. The cheese factory was worth the stop and a great experience but this campground wasn’t the best for the price.
