Shawano County Park

SUMMARY PRESENTED BYT-Mobile

Reservations are available at this county-run campground on Shawano Lake, with sites running $35 per night and the season running Memorial Day through Labor Day. Drive-in access is straightforward, and the campground accommodates RVs up to 40 feet with full hookups including electric, water, and sewer. A dump station is also on site.

The campground sits adjacent to Shawano Lake rather than directly on the water, though lake access is close. The beach is large, and a two-lane boat launch handles boat traffic efficiently. Anglers, paddlers, and swimmers all find reasons to stay, and the site sizes draw consistent praise from reviewers. Tent sites are notably spacious, with at least one reviewer noting electric hookups included. One note for RV campers: Barry H. flagged that hookup connections on some sites can be more than 60 feet from the pad, so a longer extension cord or hose may be worth packing.

Bathrooms are a walk from the sites but reviewers consistently describe them as clean with hot water available. Pets are welcome. Campers looking at camping near Shawano will find this park among the more activity-focused options in the area, given the on-site beach, boat launch, hiking and biking trails, and kayaking access. Nearby alternatives include Fawn Lake Campground to the southwest.

The park operates a short summer season, so booking ahead is advisable for July and August weekends.

Camping

We liked the campground and would come again but the electricity and water was far away from the site probably over 60 feet away.

First stay at this campground and would definitely go back

Stayed for the first time at this campground in July and loved it. We stayed on a tent site, it was huge and had electric. I love that the campground is right on the lake and there’s quite a few amenities for people who boat. It is pet friendly and the bathrooms are quite a walk but clean and hot water is available.

Satisfied

Currently in the park for 2 weeks. Good setting, situated on Shawano Lake although not directly lake side. The beach is big with a two lane boat launch.

Fun

Such a fun place to camp. We always go here for the lake and we will spend the whole day out on the boat. But the sites are really nice and big. The bathrooms are clean. And they have ice cream. Which is pretty great 😆
