We like the upgraded sites. But they lack shade . It was extremely hot that weekend. One small pool. Golf carts available.
Pull through sites are level. Sites are a little closer than I’m used to but it’s not bad because of the way the sites are on an angle.
I work service & Repair on Rv and Campers. So in and outs tall pines is one a few decent locations. Stay on the main road to there do not go off on the side roads. Davis island down the road to the bay is a nice town but no attractions
Great little trails to the beach. The RV areas had zero privacy. The tent camping area had a lot more privacy but the bathrooms in that area were not as clean.
Sites are level ,outdoor pool ,trails, boat ramps, fishing.you have the Chickahominy river in the James river meeting together. There are nice sites that are on the river. You're near Williamsburg Busch gardens all the outlets.
First time here for us. Sites and big and for the most part lots of space between. A couple of sites are close and could be buddy sites. Bathroom was clean and typical for a state park. We will be back.
Overall experience was excellent. Only negative was the bathroom was a mess no matter what time of day. I didn’t expect perfection however I did expect better.

This is a great campground on the Eastern Shore of VA. As with most VA state parks, it's popular with RV's and campers, but it was great for tent camping as well. There are numerous trails and water/beach access points throughout the park. The sites are spacious, and even though it has a lot of…
With plenty of hiking, kayaking, fishing, wildlife viewing, and other outdoor opportunities, Kiptopeke State Park is a perfect base camp location!
The actual campsites are small and close together, with little privacy. The bathrooms had running water, but only cold. The camp store was…

This campground is lovely. It’s on Gordon Creek which flows into the Chickahominy- able to rent kayaks, has a playground, a pool, and nesting ospreys, a bald eagle/s can be seen. Undergoing some renovations but still a nice campground. I’d go back.
We spent a night at this camp ground with our toddler. It was easy to reach and really fun! Everyone was friendly and the site was easy to find and clean with a picnic table and fire pit. The site host swung by with fire wood to buy ($5 bundles) just after we arrived. We chose a tent camping site…

We arrived on opening day (March 19, 2021) for the season. They had unfortunately been a victim of the rain and the main road to the campground had washed out. Alternative routes were set up to enter and exit. I understand from reading other reviews that they can routinely have problems when it…

Our RV Garmin GPS and Waze brought us in on the back roads at Accomac versus keeping us on US-13. If the Temperanceville address doesn’t work, replace Temperanceville with Sanford, VA, per their website. Roads were OK but a little narrow. US-13 to Saxis Rd/695 is a much easier and direct route to…

We rolled in late at night and rolled out at first light. I will say this KOA was quiet and had a lot of campers. You can tell they were building up for tourist season. Renovation we’re getting completed such as bicycle rentals, pool cleaned and painted, club house remodeling. We thought is was…
My family used to get day passes during the summer we where unable last year because of covid but it’s an amazing family friendly spot
