Quiet Lake Park

We stayed on a spot right by the lake. The water was beautiful and it was very quiet. We loved everything about this spot. I would highly recommend this park. We came to Waco go to to see the Silos. It is about 25 minutes away.

Great lake

This camp ground was great. We tent camped by the water in section 3 and had the whole site to our self. The lake was nice to canoe on and had a beautiful view of the sunset.

The bathrooms were to far to walk so we had to drive to them ever time and there were no showers so this was a…

Tent camping

This is a gorgeous place to camp. We did tent camping this pass week. Our camp site was right by the water an absolutely gorgeous view to wake up to. I will definitely come back. The only draw back was the winds, they were so strong they shattered our tent poles. So i would recommend to definitely…

Quiet

Stayed here last weekend, the 2 primitive spots are completely separated and private from the rest. Already reserved the same spot for a few weeks from now

Great campground with hiking and mountain biking

This is a nice campground with spacious sites right on the lake with covered picnic tables. The park has many miles of mountain bike and hiking trails. The one downside is that the sites do not have decent sized trees so I expect this would not be a great place to stay in the middle of summer.

Peaceful place

We tent camped in a primitive spot #47. Overall the spot was nice but not very level making the best placement of our large tent a bit of a challenge. Vault toilets were clean and had hand sanitizer. The nature and hiking in this park was our favorite part. Even rented a canoe and paddled across…

Fantastic, scenic along Lake Whitney

Great COE campground on Lake Whitney with well spaced sites for trailers and tent camping. Includes a large section for equestrian campers that includes paddocks for your horse as well as trails to ride on. There are both 30 and 50 amp spots as well as tent camping sites. A boat launch, shallow…

Perfect Spot by the Lake

I'm surprised no one else has reviewed this place yet, it is awesome! Other than the occasional local on their boats making noise, this place was pretty serene. The drive to the location is very rural once you exit 45. Many nice folks in the community here were waving at me when I drove by.

I…

Beautiful Lake

This is a beautiful, well maintained and very clean park. We were a little concerned about camping here in July with no shade. The breeze off the lake really helped make the 100 degree days better. The water is crystal clear, so we just went down and hopped in the water when it got to hot. We also…

Filthy women’s restroom

This park is a short drive to all of Waco attractions including the famous Silos. We stayed Friday and Saturday nights.

Pros:

• Very friendly gate attendant

• Extremely quiet park except for arriving/departing aircraft at Waco Regional Airport

• Great view of the lake as trees/shrubs are…

Peaceful and beautiful

Found this camp at the last minute for an overnight stay. Seems to be on the river channel. Fishing is great. Campers next to us cleaned fish the evening we arrived and the next morning. We had awesome phone and wi fi coverage with T-mobile. We were in spot 62 and it was mostly level. We are in…

Best campsite I’ve ever been to

This place is so fun because everyone has their own privacy and your far away from everyone else. They offer fire wood per cut for you for very cheap, they bring a whole skid steer of fire wood for you. It is a very good place for just chilling and camping out for the weekend. It is very relaxing…

Fisherman Paradise....Not for Everyone

The front guardhouse/entrance is extra campy. Low light and decorated with 69 yo 74lb catch pictures. This is by far the most fisherman geared Texas State Park we have been to and it's our 12th!

The playground is nicer than expected. The tr ails are well-marked.

A quirk of this park are the…
