Disappointed and Disgusted

This place could have been halfway decent if the people running it showed the slightest bit of interest. The campsites are mostly good. The bathrooms need to be clean and they rarely were, especially when two of the three stalls were covered in vomit. The staff is astoundingly rude, and I’m told…

Just the perfect camping experience!

Easy to reserve, find and stay at the Promised Land State Park, PA.

We went straight to the campsite, saw my name was added at the campsite number so that was reassuring. It was very clean, although there were gravels, we could camp at a little moist area but we had a perfect good night's sleep.…

Do the falls trail!!!

Stayed at site 44, it was a great time! Do the falls trail and do it early. Campsites are a little stacked but that’s okay for how nice it is and how close you are to the trailhead. Bathrooms are nice and well maintained.

Side note: absolutely no service for AT&T

Highland campground

This campground was very nice and had so much hiking in and around it. They were very helpful with getting us a site since it was so last minute on a holiday weekend Will be visiting again

A humble moto camper

The staff, facilities and amenities were fantastic. If I were here with a camper or rv I would have had a perfect weekend. However as a moto camper I felt rather closed in, surrounded by massive rvs and cabins. The lot i was in was also a gravel pad, which isn't necessarily pleasant to kneel on…

Nice Campground

We drove to several campgrounds in the NE PA area for future reference. This was by far the nicest one we visited. There were plenty of sites with full hookup, some tent sites with electric, and a beautiful creek that ran along the lower sites. I would definitely stay here for a few days, although…

Quiet, Friendly Campground

This is our 3rd year renting a cabin here. The cabins are clean and affordable, with plenty of room for two people and a doggo. There are 15 cabins, and plenty of RV sites and Tent sites. The staff have always been extremely friendly and accommodating, and Inwould recommend this Campground to…

This place does not fit the reviews from other sites. Most campsites have long reaches cor everything. Our campsite was full of dog poo. Not a little a ton

It’s Okay

There’s no WiFi at the sites. Campers guests are charged a fee after a 1/2 hour vidit. Odd spacing of electric and water hookup. Needed 2 hoses to reach the water. Campground was pretty wet, but they had a lot of rain the day before our arrival.

High class accommodations

Stayed here one night ($60 per night). Sites are HUGE and each one has full hook up. They have the trendy teepee rentals and clamping tents.

They also have stationary RVs on site that you can stay in, those are about $120 per night.

Good location and easy to get to from the PA turnpike NE…

Wonderful trip if didn’t rain

We had 3 families and sites (2 campers & 1 tent) all sites were decent sizes. We had lake front access to put kayaks in and fish which was awesome. Great walking path around lake for kids to ride bikes to parks or beach. Beach area was nice. Only downside to our trip was poured every night and…

Enjoyable and relaxing

I stayed at the Beechwood location at the Promised Land state park and despite the constant rain, it was quiet and peaceful. You could only ever hear the wildlife . The RV pads were spaced put perfectly and we all had our own picnic table and fire pit. 10/10 would visit again.

Sweet location!

Close to Jim Thorpe and tons of recreational activities. If you’re driving through the area, there’s a Cabela’s nearby that allows boondocking. Also very close to a few Appalachian trail heads.

There’s a cute river that flows through the campground and this one has a doggy park. Love this one!!

Beautiful park, camp needs work

Sites are extremely difficult to get here, with less than half being able to be booked online. No pull through sites and no sites with full hookups. More than half don’t even have electric. Most can only accommodate small rigs.

Facilities need a major upgrade, and hikes are very crowded on the…
