Boulder field exploration: The unique boulder field at Hickory Run State Park Campground provides an unusual geological attraction. "The Boulder Fields are one of the coolest places I've ever visited, partially because they were so unexpected. Don't twist an ankle, but you can play hide and seek to an extent as there are small depressions in the fields," writes Amber A.
Mountain biking: Blue Mountain RV and Camping Resort offers downhill mountain biking using ski lifts during warm months. "If you choose adventure this is the place for you, ride the ski lifts up to the top of the mountain then you get to bike down it, they have rental bikes available or bring your own," explains Lois.

What you should know
Cell service limitations: Some campgrounds have limited connectivity. At Moyers Grove Campground, Becca U. warns, "Be advised that there was no cell service or internet for AT&T users. (Verizon did have some service.) Also, there is no cable and our antennae was unable to pick up any TV channels."
Site positioning: At Robin Hill Campground, Jen R. cautions about the terrain: "This campground is called Robin HILL for a reason. You will get your exercise walking to the pond, pool, capstone or basketball courts." Understanding campground layouts helps when booking sites.
Water hookup variations: Water access differs between campgrounds. Becca U. notes, "Make sure you have a LONG water hose. We actually had to buy a 50 foot hose in the camp store to accommodate the distance to the spigot."
