Not the best experience

We got there, the host wasn’t very friendly. We had to pay $50 per night for a tent site that was sandy mud. The facilities were nice and they had a pool and some other amenities. Somebody found a snake in there trailer so watch out for those 😂

All you need...

Our go to State Park for camping as it is pretty close to home. Standard State Park with all the amenities you need. We are tent campers/ non electric (no pets/ no kids). So we don’t need much other than some privacy. Some sites are closer together than others though. Decent bathhouses. Town of…

  • View from inside our tent. (without the fly over)
  • Little Bay great for fishing right by the loop when you walk a few feet of the trail
  • No one to the front of the tent which is nice. Closest neighbors are to the right of the tent.

Loved until...

Three years ago, we fell in love with this campground. We knew we had to find an rv and become seasonals. Fast forward, we bought one, went to talk to them... They only allow seasonal campers to be 10 years old or newer. Ours is 13. Very disappointed. But for a weekend away, it's a great place. A…

Good offseason casual spot

The tent spots are pretty much on top of each other, not much privacy. It's next to a farm so the sunrise is pretty nice. The deliver firewood to your site, and the staff is friendly. If you are a fan of forced interaction with neighbors than this is your spot. Great spot for a preseason shake out…

Large campground in Pennsylvania near the AT

"Rocksylvania". According to hikers on the AT, this is what they call Pennsylvania, as they hike through this section of the state. And Blue Rocks Campground doesn't dissapoint.

This campground sits in the woods and rolling hills just below the Appalachian Trail. Nice huge campground. The RV sites…

Lake Campground great for families

We loved the lake campground. My kids are age 3-12. There’s running water available, porta potties are very clean and don’t smell and are lit with a street lamp. Very quiet at night. The park ranger this weekend was the nicest and very helpful with directions to walk to the playground and indoor…

Nice little place

We were here about 10-15 yrs ago and swore we’d never go back. I’m glad we did. They’ve added a pool and are working on a mini golf area. Nice playground, basketball court, 2 fishing areas. Almost all the seasonals are new(er) campers and even the older ones are well maintained-180° change from the…

Popular with the locals

We did get a great site by the river, no swimming sadly. The campground is packed and tight sites. They make you choose what site you want to be at, which is kinda cool. The grounds are hard to drive around in, if you have a big camper.

Clean, large and interesting having the blue rock boulders there.

Very expensive for what is offered. No water or electric at tent sites. Off season $36 peak season starting May 1st $40. Bathrooms were a hike from site 120. Pricey for what is offered. I'd only take this camping area again as a last resort as I could've done just as well creating a site on my own…

  • On the lawn of cabin 175 where friends were staying. Short walk from tent site 120.

Nice place to stay with very friendly and helpful staff. A bit on the expensive side but for an occasional splurge it is wonderful.

Depends on the site

Overall I think this campground has a lot to offer if you have a family and are looking to provide them with activities. Fishing in the pond insite, swimming in the pool and lots of family weekends throughout the season.

However, for whatever reason the sites are all covered in stone, and I…

Inaugural trip with travel trailer. Pull-Thru site will all hookups in good working order. Site felt spacious with a nice grass strip. Bath house was immaculate.
