Close quarters and sights are not very level. Fairly expensive for not having a pool.
Friendly staff. Clean grounds and bathrooms. Urban location that has bus stop right outside that takes you downtown to Plaza for $1 senior or $2 regular all day pass.
We stayed at the Buffalo Grove Site #66 for one night. If you have an RV/trailer, Buffalo Grove is the best loop as all have 30/50 Amp, city water hookup, covered table, lantern and paved sites. There are other loops in the campground that may have 50 amp and no water or 15/30 amp with water and…

Camping in the Gorge! Several sites available all along Route 570. We stayed at a primitive area right at Taos Junction. Clean bathrooms—great camp host. Very hot during the day so make sure you have some shade, no shelters. Beautiful camping right next to the river!
Great places on forest roads up the creekside forest road. The road is tough so go slow.
At first you think oh no, it’s just a parking lot. You pull into your periphery space because you did reserve, and as you set up, you realize that all in front of your door there is open space. Trees, wild flowers. Maybe the stream.
The other campers come here as often as they can. They have…

Great park sites are level and clean with good shade. The new owners are doing upgrades and are very pleasant to be with. We are looking forward to returning again for a great stay
Campground is clean and now has bear vaults at each site. The bathrooms were clean and are not lit at night. Find your flashlight. There are no showers. There is a mix of sites with some having more shade and privacy than others. A nice place to camp.
Easy access to Highway 4 does mean car noise present, but only saw 1 other group of people while camping on a Wednesday night. Significant amount of scattered glass present in pretty much every campsite and in the fire pits with some scattered trash.
Not a park where I’d want to pop out the awning and stay a while. Functional and clean bathrooms. We couldn’t access the WiFi but phone hot spot worked.
Beautiful clean campground. No fires 🔥 were allowed which was the only thing missing
Saw lots of wildlife (deer, eagle, foxes as well chipmunks). Fishing was okay. Caught 1 fish on pink power bait.
Sites are exposed, and summer is hot. I imagine fall or spring would be more ideal weather. Definitely planning a trip back later in the year. Each tent site is small, relatively flat with picnic table. A few pull through sites are available. Firewood is pre-cut and can be purchased for $1 a log…
This is the most beautiful campground I’ve seen since I started traveling last July. Every site is large and has lots of space between other sites. I stayed in 73 and 71 and both were waterfront and gorgeous. Every site has a picnic table with a large metal shade covering. This place is immaculate.…
We went on 4th of July weekend for an afternoon and a night. When we arrived, I think we were the only ones in the entire place. By the time morning rolled around there were a few more people around but most sites were still open. It was right off the road and easy to find with little road noise.…

Our family stayed here for four days (late June 2021) at Sites 21 and 25. The first thing you will notice hear is how friendly the camp hosts (Al & Cyndy) are. By being so involved with everyone that stays here I think that most guests behave themselves. We had one "problem neighbor"…
