Dream Catcher RV Park

SUMMARY PRESENTED BYT-Mobile

Sitting directly off Interstate 10 in Deming, Dream Catcher RV Park runs 117 full-hookup sites on a fully gravel lot, with roughly half configured as pull-throughs. Walk-ins can self-register with cash if the office is closed, but calling ahead is worth it, especially for late arrivals who need documents waiting at the entrance. Reservations are available, and the park accepts Escapees discounts.

Road noise and occasional train noise carry through the night given the highway location, so light sleepers should plan accordingly. Wind is a consistent factor here too. One reviewer noted the trees on the property lean visibly from years of wind in a single direction, and several campers mention keeping awnings rolled up. The lot sits at an elevation that gives mountain views from certain sites, depending on which row you land in. Korey Y. sums it up well: "nothing extravagant, extra clean."

Facilities are a consistent strength. Showers are heated and free, the laundry room runs $1.25 per washer and dryer cycle, and the clubhouse has a book and DVD lending setup. A dog park is on-site, and the adjacent hotel has historically allowed park guests access to its pool and fitness center, though availability may vary. Multiple reviewers flag the cleanliness of the restrooms as a standout. Light pollution limits stargazing. Restaurants are close by.

For RV travelers moving through southern New Mexico, the park functions well as an overnight stop or a short-term base. Little Vineyard RV Park, Roadrunner RV Park, and Wagon Wheel RV Park are all within a mile to the west for those comparing options, and the Deming area has a range of campgrounds around Deming for different setups. Request the shower access code at check-in so you are not locked out after hours.

Overnight stay

Nice clean, even huge spaces for our big tiffin. We only stayed the night and it's right off the highway so you could hear the traffic a little bit throughout the night. Not a big deal for us though. I forgot to take pics.

Escapee Park

Nice level spot, but winds must blow year round in one direction, the trees are actually leaning. Nice check in clerk, but never provided a code to Showers. Locked by the time we tried the doors. Sitting outside at night the winds blew a constant Gasoline Vapor, even filled the RV. Great place for a one night stop, make sure you get the Shower Code!

Great Stopover

This Escapees RV park is right on the freeway and is a great stopover especially if you need hookups, a laundry and good cell signal. Facilities are excellent. It is not a beautiful place for camping, but it met all my needs including friendly, helpful service in the office. Wonderful dog park.

Excellent in the basics.

This campground is very well maintained. The restrooms and laundry room are obviously well used but very clean. Their is a dog park, dump station, and air compressor, and dumpsters on site. When it reopens the Quality Inn next door allows guest to use the pool and fitness center. Their is also a bar and grill inside. The park has 117 sites with about half being pull through. All of them appear to be full hookup with the rear row given over to long term guest. There is additional space for dry camping if you prefer. If you are arriving late, call ahead so they have your documents waiting outside. If you don't have a reservation, documents are available to self-register, but it is cash only. The lot is full gravel, so bring your camp shoes, and the wind will keep your awning rolled up. The temperature was near 100F on the day that I arrived but by the time the sun started to go down the breeze made for a nice evening. The only negative thing I have to say is that the light pollution makes it very hard to see any stars.

Welcoming and friendly

This RV park is right off of highway 10 so there is quite a bit of road noise and train noise. Park is currently operating at 25% capacity due to Covid and managers are doing a good job keeping everything sanitized and safe. We had no problem driving up and getting a spot for the night.

The La Quinta next door allows campers to use their pool and work out room so that was a nice bonus; there was an entrance in the side of the fence so you don’t have to walk on the busy road. Large gravel sites with full hook ups 30/50 amp. Facilities were very clean and well maintained. Staff was very friendly and helpful about surrounding area. Dog park fence currently under construction but we are informed of a nice dog park nearby.

In the clubhouse was a table with unwanted traveler items that you could pick up for “donation”

Pretty good site

Rates seemed a little steep at $30 a night, but the full hookups work and the spaces aren’t too close together.
