ScoutWe pulled in and right away we were greeted with huge smiles and lead to a requested propane fill and our site! While we were getting set up they brought the ice and wood we requested, again with a smile! Everyone was incredibly kind and friendly and you can tell from the moment you pull in that this place is loved!
GuideWell maintained Campground. Lots of trees on outer loop 3. Very nice family site. Breeze off the lake kept the 90 degree days bearable. Restrooms are old but well maintained. Camp store is mostly an ice cream shop, no camping related items to speak of. Camp hosts are friendly. Not much of the late night noise enforcement. Dog friendly
TravelerWith no cover charge for live music and some of the lowest food and drink prices on the lake, it's a great place to relax and enjoy the waterfront views. Also have boat rentals and a nice RV park expensive to camp
GuideRuby's Landing River Resort is the place if you are wanting a place that has wildlife, beautiful river views and away from the lights of town. We enjoyed hanging out with our friends on the porch of Cabin #3, eating a great steak and catching up. The town of Waynesville is not far away and they had a couple of grocery stores, some restaurants and Uranus!! I definitely want to come back for their annual Haunted River Float.
GuideI arrived at the site in April of 2025, and was greeted with a locked gate and signage stating rates are $15 per night. Envelopes and lock box are in place. Beautiful campground with plenty of freshly cut firewood. Excellent spot for overnight or weekends with the family.
GuideGood area only a mile off the highway so it made a great night stopping point. Had great access for our starlink. They have a little dog park, kids park, and it was all clean and well maintained. Easy access and some nice pull through spots. Water, sewer, and electric hook ups. Fire pit and picnic table at site. Since it’s close the highway it was a little loud with traffic. 57$ a night for premium spots, 42$ a night for non premium
GuidePark was closed but had parking in the lot outside of the gate. Good enough to crash over night. Did a daylight walk through and discovered a well maintained camp site. Talked with park staff who was cleaning and cutting up downed trees. He was friendly and knowledgeable. Bad timing for me, and I was looking for free camp sites. Otherwise this would be a great go to location for me.
