Ruby's Landing River Resort

Ruby's Landing River Resort sits along the river outside Richland, Missouri, where forested terrain meets water access for both RV and tent camping. The resort accommodates RVs up to 60 feet with electric hookups, though sites are positioned close together with limited space between units. Rough access roads can present challenges, particularly during wet conditions when river areas may flood and require campers to relocate to higher ground.

The campground's main draw centers on direct river access, with the water landing positioned next to the tent camping area. Aaron T. notes "clean bathrooms, and quiet primitive camping area right next to the river" with easy water entry and exit. A playground provides entertainment for children, and the on-site store offers basic supplies. The resort hosts an annual Haunted River Float event that draws repeat visitors.

Basic amenities include drinking water, restrooms, showers, and picnic tables, with campfires permitted and pets welcome. WiFi service extends throughout the property. Staff interactions receive mixed reviews, with some campers praising friendly service while others report communication issues. The town of Waynesville provides grocery stores and restaurants within driving distance.

For different camping experiences, Roubidoux Spring Campground & RV Park offers another riverside option with potentially more spacious sites.

Visitors often highlighted clean facilities and family amenities, though customer service quality varies dramatically. River access and natural setting appeal to many, but site spacing and management communication remain concerns.

Peaceful and scenic stay

Ruby's Landing River Resort is the place if you are wanting a place that has wildlife, beautiful river views and away from the lights of town.  We enjoyed hanging out with our friends on the porch of Cabin #3, eating a great steak and catching up.  The town of Waynesville is not far away and they had a couple of grocery stores, some restaurants and Uranus!! I definitely want to come back for their annual Haunted River Float.

Dirty cabins and rude staff!

The cabin was disgusting 🤢 bugs crawling in the fridge, door was held together with a wire hanger. Rudest staff I've ever encountered.

Worst. Time. Ever.

Literally, the worst customer service I've ever had from an actual owner of an establishment. After finally coming to an agreement(which I wasn't even able to even get a response until I had to publicly complain) to use tickets from last year for this current year, I was told not to come THE DAY BEFORE I planned to come to the event even though I was in a full emailed conversation about the dates and agreement confirmation a week and a half before. My friends and I had to make last-minute elsewhere and were very unhappy about it. I've never had such an inconsiderate, unprofessional conversation with any business.

Great place

Clean bathrooms, and quiet primitive camping area right next to the river. The water landing is right next to the tent area so it’s real easy to get in and out of the water. Staff are friendly and down to earth.

Not bad

We were supposed to camp down by the river but it flooded out so they moved us to a spot on higher ground. The RV spots are really close together so there isn’t much room. They have a store and a bath house. Also a play ground for the kids. The kids had fun in the mud
