Binder Park Campground

SUMMARY PRESENTED BYT-Mobile

With 17 full-hookup sites just minutes west of downtown Jefferson City, Binder Park Campground runs year-round and accepts reservations. Sites accommodate RVs up to 55 feet and include electric, water, and sewer connections, plus a dump station on-site. Each site has a pavilion-style roof over its picnic table. The campground is compact, and with seasonal campers occupying several spots, available sites can be limited, especially on weekends when the lake draws crowds.

The adjacent lake is the main draw for most visitors. At 137 acres with a motor restriction, it sees regular use from anglers targeting bass, crappie, and catfish, and from paddlers in canoes and kayaks. "Several fishing docks open for public use," notes Josh S., and a bait shop is on-site. Worth noting: the campground itself is not directly on the water, and the lake is not walkable from the sites.

Beyond fishing and paddling, the park includes color-coded mountain bike trails, a disc golf course, sand volleyball, and a wetland area suited to bird watching. Cell service is workable but there is no campground wifi. Sites back up to a fairly busy road, which some campers notice but most find manageable. Pets are allowed. Campers who want additional overnight options in the region can browse campgrounds around Lohman or consider Holts Summit RV Park to the northeast.

Binder Park works well for RV travelers wanting full hookups close to Jefferson City without driving far into rural Missouri.

Great location with water access

You aren’t directly on the water at this location. It is in the same area, but not walkable. Several parks close by, looks like the city takes pride in the parks and the lake.

Great little muni!

Great campground with electric and water just minutes west of downtown Jefferson City. No cable or wifi but good tv reception. Although too cold to use, the picnic tables have a pavilion style roof over them at each site! Only downside is that they have only 17 sites and several have seasonals on them. Hosts are good people and easy to speak with, providing much information regarding their community.

Not bad.

Decent lake close to Jefferson City. I probably wouldn't travel far just to go there but if you live close it is not to bad. It has 18 full RV hookup sites and a disc golf course.

Great Campground awesome water

17 Full service sites. A very clean facility with full plumbing. Sites are a little small and back up to a fairly busy road but no real issue here.

A full disc golf course nearby and several ball fields. We love this park.

The lake offers amazing fishing wether from boat or shore. Lots of bass crappie and catfish. Lake has a motor restriction and a bait shop. Lots of fun places to paddle and only a short drive to town. Several fishing dock open for public use. There is also a wetland bird watching area below the lake.

This park has everything you’d expect from a major state park and is a hidden gem in central Missouri.

Centrally Located Trails

This is a great place for us to take our dog to run and also a great place to mountain bike. Trails are color coded and they do a great job of separating them by difficulty. The lake also has great fishing if you want to put in a canoe and do some paddling around.
