Quiet, Small and Charming Campground

Great campground! Sites are mostly level, treed, and most are very spacious! Enjoyed this campground! We camped in motor home at an electric site. Our AT&T signal was strong.  The hike to Little Manitou Falls was easy and really pretty - well worth doing!

Top 3

This is one of my favorites not only from growing up but also nowadays, and we will enjoy it each year to come! We stayed in a cart-in site and the cart worked well, the trail was in good shape, the restrooms were well kept, and the site was beautiful. The sites have plenty of trees/plants between…

Clean, Friendly, Fun

This is one of my favorite MN campsites. We stayed in a cart-in site: the cart worked well, the restroom/shower was clean, the site was beautiful and we were able to get down to a little rock beach by the water, it was also easy to book online. There is plenty to do at this park between hiking and…

Tall trees and a beach close to town

This small campground is well kept and close to the main road. It’s a perfect place to stop for a night’s rest and close enough to Bayfield to be a base. The 2 main loops both start from the main road so be careful of traffic. There are a variety of sites to choose from but limited shade. There is…

Peaceful spot to rest

This campground is tucked into the Superior National Forest but off of a main road. Access is easy enough for most rigs other than maybe very large ones.

There are a little over a dozen campsites here with 4 on their own loop in an ATV camping area.

The sites vary in size and access due to…

The views make the review

This campground is part of a casino, but the views of Lake Superior and the Apostle Island are amazing.  There is a marina and a small beach.  Wifi is very strong.  The sites are tight but good for a quick stop.   We  came into town with no reservation for one night, after 5 other stops we were…

Great for 4 wheelers

Friendly campground! Nice restaurant on site. Seems to cater to the side by side...ATV crowd.  Lots to see and do in the area. Take a drive over to Ely..cute town. Visit the old Irin mine! We had a God stay...but sites are tight for larger rigs. Gravel road in is rough so go slow. Did not try bath…

Barren

Great location between Duluth and the far North Shore. Close to  2 state parks and land mark Black Beach. Silver Bay has small grocery store and services. The park is a tree dessert with only young saplings...no shade. Facilities are clean but limited in number for number of camp sites. Maintained…

Free firewood at a lovely primitive campground!

We used The Dyrt to find this location. Thinking we would be staying at the casino campground, we discovered this gem, that they also run.  Not as crowded, as most people want to be closer to the casino itself, it's lovely, although primitive.

The sites were all mowed. There were 24 in total. …

Quiet, convenient, and friendly

A great campsite just a few minutes from the main highway up the coast of lake superior. There's a bar with a kitchen where you check in to the campsite filled with friendly people, games, and great food. But enough about that, the campsite itself is very private with a spot to park you car, and…

Riverside camping (and that bakery is nearby)

This campground stretches along the forest road. The sites range in style but we found nicely wooded spots - perfect for keeping the dog’s eyes distracted from others passing by. Nearby are places to launch canoes. We also saw a rental company in town if you don’t have your own gear. A fish…

Tettegouche State Park

The campground was great. It was by a hiking path so that was the only downside, but that wasn’t at all a big deal. We were pretty close to the river so it was nice to hear the water when life was a bit calmer at night. The tent pad allowed for us to set up two tents, one 3-person, and one 2-person…

Rustic and away from the main highway

This is a bit out of the way but it’s a nice, small rustic campground. The sites are medium size but give you privacy from others. A vault toilet and water pump are centrally located. Recycling and garbage bins are near the exit.

Follow the .9 mile trail along the river or drive over to Lake…

Fantastic

Great Area! Lake is clear and looks like very good fishing. Does not have a boat launch. There are three campsites that are decently big and you could fit two-three cars. Has a nice 2 1/2 mile hike around the lake
