Father’s Day weekend

Stayed on the full hook-up North East loop (incline or decline into some of the sites, well spaced). Cleanest state park bathroom in all of MD! Activities included: the town of North East (15min away), loop hike to the Turkey Point Lighthouse at sunset, and hanging out on the Elk river…

Pretty and relatively private sites

Cedarville State Forest is located in Charles Co., MD. It's near Waldorf which offers amenities that you might need. The campground is one loop with 27 mostly spacious sites. Some of the sites were not well tended and had tall grasses while others seemed better groomed. Most were level but some…

Cool sites to see, slightly clustered

Nice sunny spot, clean facilities, right next to a bike path that takes you directly to the beach which is about a 20 minute walk. Campsites clustered a bit and a lot of families.

Nice family state campground

Nice facilities, most of the walking trails would have been much for our little guy. It would be an awesome place to have bikes and cruise around. Nice beaches, an awesome playground, and you’re super close to Lewes and Rehoboth beach towns. We loved exploring them. Pretty pricey for a weekday we…

Great campground with lots to offer for families with children. Nice walking and biking trails. Trails and campground well maintained. Several beach access points and nice fishing pier. Great for kids

We loved Martinak State Park! It’s a small park, flat sites, clean updated bathhouse with hot showers. We stayed on the electric loop which was a perfect size for our kids to ride bikes around. Multiple playgrounds, cute trails (flat and not very long) that are good for kids, and lots of…

Planning to return every year!

This was our inaugural trip with our new trailer! We were super excited to stay at Cape Henlopen because we had visited our cousins the year before, which is what got us hooked into the camper life!

We stayed in Row D - was a great location- nearest the cabins.

The play ground area is great -…

All you need...

Our go to State Park for camping as it is pretty close to home. Standard State Park with all the amenities you need. We are tent campers/ non electric (no pets/ no kids). So we don’t need much other than some privacy. Some sites are closer together than others though. Decent bathhouses. Town of…

  • View from inside our tent. (without the fly over)
  • Little Bay great for fishing right by the loop when you walk a few feet of the trail
  • No one to the front of the tent which is nice. Closest neighbors are to the right of the tent.

Overall love and will be back

Great beach and bike bike paths. We could have spent so much longer here and explored

4 stars because of how close together the sites are. Especially the inner tents of T loop.

G loop has more space over all

Super dog friendly

We brought our 2 weimaraners here for a couple years now. It's dog friendly with a dog friendly beach. Alot of the local restaurants are also dog friendly. This is a beautiful park with lots of walking trails . Some of the spots a kinda small so book accordingly.

This is an awesome camping destination

My husband and I went camping here a few years back. It's such a great place because it's near the beach, it has nice picnic spots and playground areas for children. There is a learning center where you can see different sea creatures. There is a fishing pier, it's close to outlet shopping and…

Lots of beach area

The sites are close together. No worse than a typical KOA though. There is additional space behind each site leading onto the beach that houses a table and fire ring. It feels like each site has loads of room out to the beach. FYI there is no dumping station or site sewer connection. …

Dynamite

Great spot to explore

We found this campground by chance and we were so glad we did! Sites are level and spacious and grounds were clean. Rangers were very helpful as we went from a 1 night stay to a 3 night weekend, they were always available to help. Great trails, fishing, and disc golf at the park, and an arboretum…
