Perfect Retreat

Beautiful grounds, well kept, plenty of space between sites. The spots on the water get a bit of the lake breeze. Got cell service in site 69. Wifi at the common areas. Clean showers. Dish washing stations. Kind staff!

Flagstaff is so gorgeous

Our site was directly on flagstaff so we had an excellent view! Great swimming and playground. Clean bathrooms which is also a plus. Extremely friendly staff. And as a bonus you're maybe 20 miles from Canada! We go every year!

My Favorite Maine Campground

I always make an effort to stay here at least one weekend a year. Peaks-Kenney is my favorite State Park to stay at. The sites are clean and quiet, the beach is humble but nice, and the lake is beautiful. I would recommend this spot to absolutely anyone.

One of My Favorite Spots

Lily Bay is a well-maintained state park that sees a lot of traffic through the year, but has sites that can make you feel isolated. I love to go in the summer when Moosehead is at its warmest. If you're into adventuring, it's a short drive up to Kokadjo and the Golden Road, where you can look for…

Phenomenal Fall Conditions

Amazing clear water lake. 3 to 1 moose to human ratio, and abundant nearly tame birds and furry creatures. Haunting loon calls in the evening. Simple yet well maintained sites and facilities with responsive staff and relaxed, respectful neighbor campers. Sweet kayaking.

What an incredible campground! Very quiet, at least in Sept. Very, very clean. Our huge site on the water was raked clean before we arrived. I said "huge", other campgrounds would have made 3 sites from the one we had. Access to Flagstaff lake is part of the campground with a boat launch/beach.…

Lovely camp ground

Large spacious camp sites in the trees. Very quiet family campground with beautiful views of flagstaff lake. Boat launch is prefect we’re able to store our kayaks right at the beach. Definitely will return in the future

Back again and just as good

Back for the second year in a row. Weather was amazing, sun sets were unmatched and fishing was on point. Again bring what you need with you as this campground is well out of the way.

On the shores of GORGEOUS Moosehead Lake!

This gorgeous state park along the shores of Moosehead Lake near Greenville feels like the campgrounds of my youth. Sites are all tucked into the woods with easy access to trails and the lakeshore. Each site offers the usual picnic table and fire ring.

Well-kept latrines are scattered…

  • It's fall....y'all!
  • Many sites are on the lake and accessible for launching kayaks.
  • They keep the shower house very clean, but they are a bit of a hike from the campsites.

Worth the hike-in, very close to the AT

Beautiful hike-in sites located along the Pleasant River, and a great access point for hiking on the Appalachian Trail or in Gulf Hagas area!  We didn’t stay at these sites, but came across them while hiking just off the AT.

Each site has a picnic table and fire ring, with access to a clean…
