Jonathan Dickinson Pinegrove State Park is among the best parks I've ever visited. The bathrooms are spotless, the trails are extensive, and the people are incredibly friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this place.

Good experience, this was the first campground we ever visited with our RV but it was smooth. Price was okay (I guess), front desk lady was very friendly, slot was spacey and the pool seemed nice although we didn't use it (what a shame)
ScoutThis is a wonderful park to go camping in. My family and I typically spend 2 weeks there every summer. The pine scrub forest makes for such an amazing adventure and perfect campsite experience. There are bicycle trails, canoeing/kayaking options, Hobe Sound beach nearby. I absolutely live this place.
GuideThis campground was awesome. We stopped here on our way to the Keys. We have a big Class A and had no reservation. We called and they offer a walk in availability. We got there right before 5:00 when they were about to close. There was a site for us! The staff was super friendly and helpful. We will come back when can explore their amenities. Highly recommend. Great for families.

Guide3 campers and two RVs crammed into overflow. NO full hookups as indicated over the phone. Showers NOT in the “bath house” adjacent to these crummy sites. The dumpsite is between the office and the fence. This requires you to back into position or drive down a narrow path and make 3 tight turns. Florida has NO dump sites at rest or service areas! What????

The reason why I titled this “relaxing” is because I enjoy the feeling of the place! The people (mainly the snowbirds) the come down seem to be the friendliest! My favorite is their drum circles!

TravelerJust stayed for the night in between long drives. Got in late and left early so didn’t have a chance to really experience the entirety of the campground. Camp site was clean and very large, included a table and fire pit, easy to back into thanks to the size. Outhouse building doesn’t have any AC so it’s scorching in there, but was relatively clean. Was only there for a few hours but did see some rabbits and frogs hopping around which was fun for the kids.

When we were pulling in we noticed a train of 7-8 RV’s and trailers leaving. Didn’t think much of it. Went ahead and checked in, got to our camping site, etc. That’s when we noticed that it was literally swarming with mosquitos. Pulled out 3 thermacells but the swarms were so bad they didn’t even touch it. Couldn’t even open the trailer door for a split second without 10 mosquitos flying in. Ended up packing up and leaving within the hour and getting a nearby hotel for the night. Manager refused a refund, and suggested we go to John Prince Park in the future. Have never had such a terrible experience with KOA in the past. 0 stars if I could.
ScoutThis park offers a multitude of activities for all ages. Kayaking, boating, hiking, and mountain biking are located within the park. The park is only 5 miles from the Jupiter Inlet and lighthouse with many restaurants and beaches nearby.

GuideFirst of all, this was a great location to visit the lion country safari. We stayed in a tent site.
Pros: The facilities were well kept and nice enough for a campground. People were not too noisy. The lions were plenty noisy, and it was so cool to hear them in the morning!
Cons: There was no privacy whatsoever between sites and the sites were very close together. The lampposts were plentiful and bright which isn't so great when sleeping in a tent. Also, no fire rings.
GuideWe had a great time on our first trip here in our new camper. Campsites were very large with full hookup. There were plenty running and hiking trails. Our favorite thing was paddle boarding on the river.
LegendHobe Sound FL Jonathan Dickinson SP This park has two campgrounds. Pine Grove Campground, has 90 sites, it is located near the ranger station. These large sites have more space between and foliage for privacy. Sites have clothes line, fire pit, picnic table and are all level gravel. Very nice clean bathouses with family room. None of the washers and dryers were working. There's a playground and picnic Pavilion. Some road and train noise. Had good downpour today and had a little lake at back of site but within an hour it disappeared! Great place to stargaze. Saw a great full Wolf Moon.
River Campground is more rustic, it has 52 sites, is about four miles from the park entrance, near the Loxahatchee River. Sites close together, no privacy. The River CG is great if you plan to fish or kayak. Close to boat ramp. Sites are dirt. Also more mosquitoes. There's major utility construction going on next to this camp right now.
Good things- Miles of paved and off road bike and hike trails, great bird watching, star gazing, canoeing, kayaking, fishing. Seasonal horse back rides. Fun and informative boat tour to Trapper Nelson's. There's a great learning center. Amazon delivers to Ranger station. Stores and restaurants a couple miles away.
GuideSo, we were here a bit long term in the summer. Staying here in the summer is as bad as being in Vermont in winter. You need a reason to be there and sadly we did.
First off, waking up to lions roaring and bonobos scream in the morning was freaking amazing! I will treasure this memory for the rest of my life.
The facilities are aging but are clean. The ladies in the front office were awesome and accommodating. We purchased a new RV while there and they had no issues moving us and making sure we were good with moving up from a 30 Amp to a 50 Amp site.
At $99/night it is expensive and by not having the facilities of a KOA Holiday and being so far away from the Highway as a KOA Journey I can't give it 5 stars but, it is damn close.
TravelerGreat location near the Safari park with discounted tickets available. I recommend staying here if you are going to the Safari Park and need a place to stay. Big Rig friendly with nice pull through sites and a wilderness feel that I enjoyed. :)
TravelerThe campsites are well spaced with foliage between. The bath houses are numerous and exceptionally clean. The park has many bike trails, although some require a helmet. There is also a river running through it so kayaking and canoeing is popular. Everything is there to rent as well, including bikes. We spent 6 days there and still only scratched the surface
GuideI did primitive camping... I was unclear on where to go, but did find the area just as it got dark (I was using a pop up tent and was ok).
Had a very relaxing and restful night full of high quality and undisturbed sleep.
I was searching for powerline road and figured out I was supposed to simply follow the power line!
Was a pretty place but did not like having to be so near EMF radiation from the powerline I had to hike under for a few miles... I also didn't like the 5G tower next door.
But the good news was weather was perfect!

LegendSite 36. Very long and roomy. 38 ft class A had no problems. Roads wide with no trees blocking. Full hook ups, paved, but no shade. Restrooms are spotless, and have laundry. Plenty of walking and biking trails. Going to the river campground, you pass the railroad. There are plenty of bikers there for the trails.
