Nice but next to train tracks

This is a nice campground. Owners are kind operate a great general store. Live music every day and a nice rotating menu for breakfast and lunch. Clean laundry and bathrooms.

Only downfall are the trains that operate 24/7 directly adjacent to the grounds. Trains rolling by at 3 am is not how I like to spend my night. It’s not the campground’s fault by any means, but I will consider another option next time I’m in Nashville.

Nice campground!

Beautiful sunsets over the water and proximity to Bar Harbor & Acadia NP make this campground a must visit.

Be advised many sites do not have dump stations, so be sure to know what you’re signing up for when reserving your spot.

Most spots are on uneven to very uneven ground, come prepared with whatever method you have to level out your setup. We could’ve used an extra set of the camco yellow leveling pads.

Showers are a little small but clean and hot. Washer/dryers work great.

Wonderful time!!

This campground is top-notch. The wifi worked perfectly for steaming tv despite the campground being fully booked for Memorial Day weekend.

The employees are the nicest people you will ever meet. At night someone is always driving around with firewood for sale.

Most sites are grass, ours was mostly dirt due to trees overhead. We were tucked in between seasonal campers, who are all kind and compassionate humans.

The washer/dryer setup is immaculate with brand new equipment. Small washer $3.25, big washer $4.25, dryers $2 for 45 minutes.

Would absolutely visit again.

Quiet and Beautiful

We stayed in one of the electrical sights along the river. We made use of the fire pit and enjoyed the sunset. The other guests were friendly and we saw a bunch of dogs around.

The property manager was highly responsive when we requested the gate code via email. The gate closes at 7:30 pm but with the code there is no issue.

We did not visit the on-site bathrooms nor did we use the dish cleaning station.

The glamping tents were just that - a tent built onto a platform.

We truly enjoyed our peaceful visit to the park and highly recommend staying along the water.
