There are limited options for affordable camping in this part of Florida, so plan to book your stay here a while in advance as it fills up. We are lucky to snag two nights here on our way to Miami. Lots of hiking options and some really nice views. The RV park has full hookups and is almost completely filled with older adult campers high end big rigs. Clean facilities and level sites though.
Long term camping at its best. Beautiful site. Lake view. Easy access to launch kayak. Well laid out, grass sites with concrete pads. Staff is excellent. Spent 6 months here with NO problems.
So, we were here a bit long term in the summer. Staying here in the summer is as bad as being in Vermont in winter. You need a reason to be there and sadly we did.
First off, waking up to lions roaring and bonobos scream in the morning was freaking amazing! I will treasure this memory for the rest of my life.
The facilities are aging but are clean. The ladies in the front office were awesome and accommodating. We purchased a new RV while there and they had no issues moving us and making sure we were good with moving up from a 30 Amp to a 50 Amp site.
At $99/night it is expensive and by not having the facilities of a KOA Holiday and being so far away from the Highway as a KOA Journey I can't give it 5 stars but, it is damn close.
Worst part first. If your looking for the ultimate location, keep looking. My wife’s mom lives right around the corner otherwise we may not have even considered Aztec.
However, this place spoiled us, it’s one of the nicest RV resorts I’ve ever seen, the lots were spacious and incredibly well maintained. I believe all the lots are privately owned or st least for sale so you are renting someone’s spot. Ours happened to have a massive tiki hut.
In terms of common amenities they are all in one central spot, they had two very nice pools, an area for hanging out under tables and tikis. The gym, library and bar were not open #COVID. They also pick up your trash every morning which is awesome. They “prefer” newer RVs and only allow class A.
If your looking for a place where you are self contained in a beautiful spot, this is worth looking at.
This campground is only an hour away from most spots in South Florida, but it feels much further removed. We were able to get a reservation for tent/van camping the same day. There are obviously some folks who have planted down long-term here, and it helps the campground feel like a community. The gorgeous water views and walking trail are the perfect way to spend an early morning. I look forward to coming back here, it is a real gem for South Florida residents.
Another State park to be in the memories.... amazing sites, very cozy, full hook ups available as well. Losts of shades, huge park, 2 miles from the spring. Well maintained. Great bathrooms. Super cool place to rest and be in the nature.
This Palm Beach County campground and park offers you a lot of things to do. Miles of biking paths, fishing and paddling on Lake Osborne, some hiking trails, fitness pavilion and walking trail... all this with short and long term rv/tent camping spots ONLY 5 miles from the beach. The campground is well maintained, with paved sites for any size vehicle. Short term camping spots have the best views and most are situated on the lake. It is an older campground so the bathrooms are not state of the art but they are clean and functional. This location is also close to 1-95. Site 36. Very long and roomy. 38 ft class A had no problems. Roads wide with no trees blocking. Full hook ups, paved, but no shade. Restrooms are spotless, and have laundry. Plenty of walking and biking trails. Going to the river campground, you pass the railroad. There are plenty of bikers there for the trails.

Though the overall RV Camp is well organized, secure, and offers all the amenities (laundry, hookups, water, showers, and even an entry code), the tent camping is not ideal for me. Just my personal opinion, but I prefer tent camping in a quiet and dark area. But there are two towering lights on all night. Also you are near a freeway that goes and goes. The separation between tent sites is pretty ambiguous too. One table and one huge group fire pit and two BBQ for all tent campers. There is a woodsy trail running past the official tent area which has people coming and going giving the tent site the feel of being in the middle of a trail.
If it were me, I'd separate the tent site from the trail to reduce traffic. and also expand the tent site to include some if the nice looking, secluded little spaces past just the one stretch for tents only. I'd make those lights motion detecting instead of on all night. I'd set up several separate, private spots for each tent with its own table, fire pit.
But if you just need a cheap place to sleep and don't care about all that other stuff, then by all means.
Again, I am not criticizing this place. Just my personal opinion.
Again, this is a great spot because of the security and amenities but it's first and foremost an RV Park. The tent camping is an afterthought.
The place even has WiFi!
This place has seen better days and the hook ups are not in the best locations. We were there during the pandemic and many of the Canadian regulars were not there. If you get a site along the fence in back, be prepared for neighbors noise that the RV park cannot control. Barking dogs and loud music, etc.
Look, if you find yourself stuck in southern Florida, fleeing the traffic and mayhem of Miami or crossing the 6 hour mark, having departed Key West, then this layover in Hallandale Beach – which I must admit, has some pretty amazing beachheads with which to plant an umbrella and throw down a few towels to enjoy the best of what southern Florida has to offer – might be a terribly easy spot to rest your weary head. Located conveniently about 2 minutes off of I95, you’ll be able to reach the concrete campground that is Embassy RV Park and which will have a slab of concrete that it will gladly rent you for the night (or a week, month or longer if need be). There’s all the typical hook-ups from water, electric and sewage, a few scattered (albeit, ill-maintained and not terribly clean) bath houses / restrooms. You won’t find much in the way of community amenities like picnic tables or grills, so be sure to bring or unpack your own. While there’s not a lot in and around this concrete jungle variety RV Park apart from strip mall store-front shopping and fast food chains to dine at, you’ll have to head a decent ways to escape the crowds and overall busy traffic of the area. Net-net, if you’re in a fix for the night, then park here late and leave early in order to get to your destination where you can enjoy a great time that is likely the main reason why you are out camping or RV’ing in the first place, right?
Happy Camping!
Close to home weekend getaway for us but we recommend it to anyone who wants a nice relaxing rv park!
A well maintained campground, The spaces are spacious , clean and well equipped. You can find Grill, fire pit and drainage for your RV. Park ranger are friendly.
We stayed in the Pine Grove campground with a tent... this campground was chock full of RVs and trailers. You can only camp on the gravel, not the grass. Not great for the bottoms of tents! Every site is close to the numerous restrooms dotted through out Pine Grove. The restrooms were okay, the showers didn’t always work and they were looking little tired. This campground was super quiet when we went. We saw maybe 2-3 other people in the restrooms and 1-2 people walking around, everyone seemed to be hiding in their RVs. It would be good for RVs, With full sewer, electricity, and water hookups at every site. We liked it because it was easy to get to and close to the 95 (but not too close to hear it).
We loved staying here, very nice and quiet. If your looking for something that is a little different than just the typical RV park with a ton of other campers this is the place. Steve was very easy to work with and we will definitely be coming back!
The staff wears great! Very helpful and quick to fix any issue. Our electric did not work at our site so we moved. They had someone out the next morning to fix it. Very well lit at night with security. The RV park is located in the back of the county park, so there is plenty to do: water park, outdoor gym and regular play areas for kids. This would be a great spot for a family. Everything is paved with a concrete pad with a picnic table and a charcoal grill available per site. Very spacious and I cannot express how clean. Laundry on site always a plus.
I lived in So. FL for 5 yrs and probably passed the RV park 1000 times. I love that this is about a mile from my favorite beach spot, A1A, and. Few miles from all things Delray Beach! The owners are very kind, answer all your questions etc. the facilities are clean, the guests are nice and quiet. Now that i live more north, We hope to be back again and make this an annual adventure!
3 campers and two RVs crammed into overflow. NO full hookups as indicated over the phone. Showers NOT in the “bath house” adjacent to these crummy sites. The dumpsite is between the office and the fence. This requires you to back into position or drive down a narrow path and make 3 tight turns. Florida has NO dump sites at rest or service areas! What????
Stayed here over a holiday weekend and enjoyed it, roads getting in the RV park are good but watch out for branches with big units outside the park to the north. Train tracks behind it and highway is not far so it's kinda loud at times. Great Park with big lake. Had good power, good water pressure and cable but didn't use it. All paved or concrete. Bathrooms and showers were very clean. Staff was great from the office to the park. Busy walking path nearby so lots to see going on. Was very surprised to have very fast wifi. I would stay here again.
Well landscaped county park with full hookups and both 30 and 50 amp sites available with full hookups. Very friendly staff.
The campground was very clean with full hookups and sewer directly at our camp site.
PROS
No reservation fee charged
Camp Host Chris immediately and voluntarily came to our site to lend his knowledge on backing a 28ft trailer into site A16. Very helpful and friendly!
Nice privacy from neighboring sites due to heavy vegetation
Site A16 level
Site A16 partial shade
Metal fire ring
Moveable metal and wooden picnic table
Campground WIFI
Security gate closed 6pm and assessable with code that was provided at check-in
Security codes required for bathhouse entry
3 bars T-Mobile
CONS
No senior or veteran discount
Train, plane and traffic(lots of sirens) noise was nonstop and very loud
Campsite crammed together
A16 has two large trees on each side of the 12 foot wide campsite entrance
Bring you A GAME as this campground road is very tight with lots of turns
All utilities hookups are at the rear of site A16
Not the best part of town
Great place to stay. Would stay here again. 2 machines in laundry. Boat dock on site. Full hookups. Spots are spacious!!!
Although this area doesn’t have full hookups, it does provide plenty of room to camp, hike, nature view and hunting plus more!
Jake from the Dyrt here! Bee Healthy Honey Farms has recently joined the Dyrt and offers full-hookup sites on their Honey Farm, with a park and trails nearby there's plenty of southern Florida nature to enjoy! Book your stay at the farm and make sure to leave a review with some pictures on the Dyrt!
Full services, great cell service, huge disc golf course, massive kids play area, nice pond with ducks and swans, lots of trails and bike paths. Full hookups and also a primitive campsite for tents.
Campground in the city, great guest services, friendly staff. Near grocery store, and everything! Full hookup sites, spots are big and concrete roads, amenities like restrooms and showers are cleans, the pool is nice! Great time! Recommend
