ScoutIt’s a nice big park but with few trees for shade. The RV sites are nice but close together. The park is located right off of the freeway so VERY noisy. If you have kids, there appears to be a lot of things for them to do. Not having kids in tow, this is not a park I would choose to stay at in the future.

Luxuriously decorated tents complete with comfortable queen size beds, kitchen table and 4 chairs, and living room areas as well as your own camp restroom outside your tent and private gazebo with more seating, table and outdoor solar lights. We enjoyed the local restaurants& attractions such as Santa's Workshop, a gold mine tour where they taught us how to pan for gold, Garden of the Gods, AJ's Pizza and a steam engine train ride in Cripple Creek. The kids loved the property as much as they loved sightseeing in the area. They hiked, ran around in the green space, played on the swing set and even got to help Ms Debbie gather fresh eggs from her mama hens. We bought some of her eggs and they were delicious! The area was truly some of the most picturesque that I have ever experienced and the wild life is abundant so keep your food locked up in your car which you can park conveniently outside your front door. Mr Justin was always busy working on improving this rustic piece of property but always had time to meet any need that arose during our stay. We can not wait to return and see the 1930s cabins that they are in the process of restoring. If they are anything like their tents they will be amazing.
TravelerGreat spot! We have a roof top tent. Easy to drive in and park on level ground. You could easily get a camper in most of the sites. Sites are large and far enough apart that you have a lot of privacy. Road can get a little busy with traffic and off road vehicles. Fire rings already built at most locations. Close drive to Tarryal Reservoir. We will be returning!

ScoutNeeded a spot to get some sleep while traveling. This was the perfect place, the road was easy to access and there are plenty of dispersed sites that vary in size. Some more open and some in trees.
GuideBe cautious driving on rampart there are so many dam deer and wildlife.. the rain brings the trees and bushes and those in turn bring the wildlife here.
I’m not sure if alll the camping around rampart road area (beaver creek diverts off of rampart) is this amazing. But it’s pretty nice here along beaver creek road
Just 15 minutes northeast of town you’ll be at the beaver creek road dispersed section. There are SO MANY pull offs for sleep in car situations.
I counted around 3-5 isolated spots for large groups or spacious enough for a tent and your pets.
Gosh again I’ll say it it’s LUSHH so many colors of green and mountain flowers. Not so many places like this. In Colorado .I can count them on my fingers
TravelerThe camp sites are well maintained and have vaulted toilets and water pumps conveniently located throughout the campgrounds. Some camp sites are very close to one another, but everybody was respectful of each other's space and quiet. I was surprised that I had 1 or 2 bars (Verizon) throughout most of the park, even 3 bars on parts of the Cheeseman Ranch Bike Loop. The trails were beautiful, well maintained, and not crowded at all.
TravelerRoad coming in has some gnarly washboard for the first 2ish miles, at one point we were just crawling cause it was so rough. After that it's smooth sailing until you get to the part of the road where it narrows, just pray other cars aren't coming down the road, there's some blind hills & turns, locals were just flying through it, almost had a head on collision, so go slow. Sites 1-3 were empty on a Thursday around 5pm. There's absolutely no shade for 1-3, we grabbed 3, it being the closest to the woods. Now if you go past 3 there's a sign for a trailhead & then a sign that says the road is closed in 3/4 of a mile, sites 4-7 are down there, I would recommend having some sort of suv/truck, the dirt road is a little off cambered. I think 7 is the most epic, but all those sites were taken.
Site 3: All the sites have a bbq pit & fire ring. I give this site 3 stars cause of all the broken glass & shot guns shells. There was very minimal trash, but man, my dog couldn't walk anywhere cause of all the glass. The weather said absolutely no rain, but just a word of caution, it might rain, we got stormed on multiple times. If you have a roof top tent, you might be able to get 3-4 bars of 5G. I have verizon, my wife has mint mobile, both were able to doom scroll while it was raining.
Try to get there as early as possible, maybe you can secure the sites in the woods!
