Always a good experience

We had a tent site. This is my second time camping at this location and it’s a bit less natural but the amenities make up for it. Super friendly staff and beautiful mountains to gaze at. Nice and quiet at night aside from the occasional 18 wheelers passing by. Very nice bathrooms and showers. Laundry units. Great experience for $30 a night!

Close to CO Springs & Manitou Springs

Rocky Top is close to Colorado Springs, Manitou Springs, & Woodland Park. It has rv sites as well as a hotel and is located off I-24. Site #23 had full hookups and was a partially paved site, with a picnic table. Few trees are located within the rv park itself. Bathhouse was clean and required a code to get into them. There is also an attached laundry room that had 4 washers and 4 dryers (coin operated). Small playground located at the front of the park, but it looked like they were still working on it. Park provides free WiFi but it is iffy at times and cell signal is non existent for AT&T. Overall would camp here again.

Not for campers

Camp area was more for unhoused people in the area. I was camping in my car and the site was a walk-up, so I couldn't use it luckily. The facility did work with me and put me in a non-working RV site by the tent area, but someone pulled on my door during the night. The sink in the shower area was leaking and had a huge puddle in the floor. Maybe my experience was unique, but I did not stay for my remaining nights.

Not for tent campers or overlanding

Not a place for overlanding or tent camping, this site is strictly catered to RV’s. We had a “primitive tent” spot reserved for one night, but the site was not what we expected. You are not far at all from I-24, I mean maybe 200 yards? There is a house right beside the tent sites with a deck that overlooks the site, and they have a few (understandably) excitable large dogs who were watching our every move. We were tired and trying to make the best of it, so we started setting up our overland tent for the night, when I made the hike up to the restrooms and decided this wasn’t a place I wanted to stay. I don’t understand why the people who do not have restrooms readily available (tent campers) are positioned the furthest away from them. I won’t even get in to the motel crowd. For an RV lot, it’s crowded but convenient so if that’s what you need, this may work for you. For tent or overland campers, you can 100% do better than this place.

Loved it here

$25 a night for tent camping. That’s a small price to pay for all of the amenities that rocky top offers! The staff is great! The location is amazing! Woodland park is literally a 2 minute drive away. Strong cell service. Friendly neighbors. Everything about this site is good! You’ll love it!

Nothing fancy but good location.

This RV Park and motel is just outside Woodland Park, Colorado. The sites on the upper hill have nice views while the lower sites are much less desirable. Most sites are back in so check for pull through if needed when you reserve. They have a dog walk and a sketchy play area for kids. There is also a rec hall and showers that we did not visit so can't give a description. Cripple creek, The Wolf & Wildlife Center and paradise cove are all nearby.

Just terrible

The campground was awful and kick started a sinus infection with all the dust blowing around. The bathrooms have a code on them so if you forget the code in the middle of the night as you’re groggy and walking to the bathroom, you’re SOL.

Great Location, Slightly Crowded

Love being close to Colorado Springs and garden of the gods. Was pretty busy when we went so didn't have a choice of sites. Camp was tight but we still managed to have a fire. Not very secluded or out in the woods but having a laundry facility and game room was a nice change of pace.
