Very cramped camping

I chose this park due to the other reviews but they obviously had much different experience than we did. We were given camp site 44 and we were shocked! When we backed our little Little Guy teardrop camper into the spot we were 13 feet from the camper on the left, and there were 3 campers backed in at the back within FEET. Then a new camper pulled in on the right, a camper van. It was 5 feet from our door. Basically, it was like cramming 3 campers into one spot. It was like they put 3 campers in 1 campsite. This was an inside camp spot. The outer spots had more room. Also, out sewer hook up was 10 inches above ground making it super hard to get drainage. We looked around and there were quite a few like that but most were close to the ground. Like I said, it’s like they made 3 site out of one. The bathhouse is fine. They do have a nice laundry facility but you have to sign up for a time slot since the campground is so big. They had firewood and camper/camping supplies at the office. Given how many other campgrounds are in the area, I wouldn’t stay at this one again.

For RV type park very nice

Nicely wooded. 8400 feet elevation. Sites well separated for RV park. Pet friendly. Many semi permanent residents. Many short term campers. Tent spots also look nice. Very friendly campers. Laundry, showers, restroom. All very clean. Good 5G T-Mobile.

Modern park with modern amenities

If I could describe this campground with two words, it’s “well run.” Checking into the campsite is easy, they have an iPad for late arrivals to check in with their reservation numbers and a map with directions to your site. It’s in a beautiful wooded area, but it’s not secluded by any means. You’re surrounded by other campers, but you don’t feel cramped in any way.

There is a bathroom and shower house which were all very clean. The laundry facilities on site are in the same building, but beware the coin machine only takes $1 and $5 denominations. There’s a playground for your kids to have fun at. Wood is available for $5 a stack.

Woodland park is in the middle of a deluge of beautiful trails, national forestry land, and of course right by Pikes Peak. I recommend The Wines of Colorado winery, and check out the Fiesta Mexicana restaraunt. They are some of the gems of this area.

Beautiful, spacious campground

We have been living in our RV full time over the past 8 months and have been to many campgrounds/RV parks and this one was my overall favorite and my wife’s 2nd favorite! We had spot 74 for the first 5 days which was a dream spot that was well shaded with lots of space, a picnic table, trees for our eno’s, and a fire ring. We had to move to 57 our last 2 days which was a bit of a downgrade but only because we knew how wonderful 74 was. While there were some small-ish spots most were plenty big, I never saw any that I would be unhappy with. My wife and I both work and were able to work off their internet the entire week just fine, except for the last day weirdly when not even our phone service was working well. We both have Verizon and maintained about 3 bars of LTE the majority of the time we were there. Some may not like that it’s all dirt, no grass but that didn’t bother us too much. The only issue I had was that you couldn’t have a fire in the fire ring or in your own above ground fire pit, only a charcoal or propane fire, which isn’t exactly their fault, it was more the city/state ordinance. If that had been the case I would have given it 5 stars (I’m very passionate about my campfires). But like I said, best campground I’ve stayed in over the past 8 months without a doubt! 10/10 would recommend staying here!

Beautiful Area

Great campground and beautiful views. We were looking at Google maps and we're concerned about the location and spacing of campers but it's a great place and lots of space between campsites!

Nice place

This is a nice campground. Some sites are not very level, but others are quite level. Easy to book and pic your desired site.

Good cell reception and easy to work while on the road.

Rustic campground with a great location.

This location was perfect for exploring the area. It is very close to downtown Woodland Park and many attractions. Deer wander through the campground throughout the day. It is rustic , with dirt/gravel roads and sites. Lots of pine trees and most spots are pull through. Some sites are a little close together but not all of them. Restrooms are clean. Small but nice laundry-room. Clean showers. A nice tent area. Staff was friendly and helpful. Try to get here before the office closes because finding your site may be difficult. It is a little hard to figure out the roads and the proper direction to go to fine your site and get into it.
We were here for 4th of July and there were NO activities. No pool. There is a small playground area and a small stage that has been abandoned. The dog park is at the very back of the property. Everything on our 50 amp site worked perfectly. The site was ample for our toy hauler and truck. Sites are not level, bring proper equipment for leveling. Overall, it has an awesome Colorado vibe and we liked it here. Only downside was layout of sites, no activities. You have to reserve a spot to wash clothes. This became a problem because people reserve large blocks of time and don’t show up. I couldn’t use laundry, so be forewarned.

Great!

We have been in Colorado for a month and this is the best Campground yet! Well managed, clean, spacious sites, FHU, laundry. Bathrooms were Covid closed. Exceptional customer service. When we wanted to extend our stay, the manager went out of her way to find a way that we wouldn’t have to move our trailer from one spot to the other. It was very appreciated. Highly recommend!!!!

Large Park Near Colorado Springs, Pikes Peak & More

This park is definitely well visited, but for good reason. It is located in Woodland Park, a lovely mountain town about 30-40 min. outside Colorado Springs. Lots of sites, mostly RV but there is a nice tent only section with a good number of spaces. We stayed overnight in early July and actually pitched our tent next to our family RV underneath the awning, safe from the summer showers that seem to pass thru almost daily in the summer months. Lots of amenities, including parks with play equipment for the kiddos, a dog park, nice bathrooms & showers.
