    SUMMARY PRESENTED BYT-Mobile

Newport Dunes RV Resort accommodates pets with designated exercise areas along its 1,131-foot waterfront property. Bolsa Chica State Beach Campground, Moro Campground, and Huntington Beach RV Campground all welcome pets within their established guidelines. Most campgrounds require pets to be leashed at all times, though specific leash length requirements vary. While Newport Dunes offers full hookup sites for RV campers with pets, Bolsa Chica provides electric and water hookups without sewer connections. The concrete sites at Bolsa Chica are noted for being tight with limited privacy between neighboring campsites. These campgrounds typically do not have separate pet-specific amenities, though many feature outdoor showers that can be useful for rinsing sandy pets after beach visits.

The paved beach path at Bolsa Chica State Beach provides an excellent walking route for pet owners, extending for miles in both directions along the coastline. Pet waste stations are positioned strategically along common walking routes. Campers report highway noise being significant, particularly at sites facing Pacific Coast Highway, with earplugs recommended for light sleepers traveling with pets. Most campgrounds in the area charge additional pet fees, and some limit the number of animals permitted per site. The proximity to urban amenities means emergency veterinary care is readily available within a short driving distance. Seasonal considerations include the summer crowds at beachfront locations where pets may encounter more activity and stimulation. Road noise from Pacific Coast Highway remains a consistent issue mentioned by campers staying with pets.

      Waterfront RV Park

      Waterfront RV Park, CA

Located in Huntington Beach California. This site is right across the street from the beach. Be careful and aware when staying here. My husband and I had our mountain bikes stolen when sleeping. When we asked for camera footage the owners of the campground claimed the cameras were broken and they couldn’t share the footage. There are many homeless folks living in the area. The showers don’t get hot, but the area is clean. There is a pool and a hot tub and a small dog park. It’s expensive to stay here, but a beautiful spot.

      Hollywood RV Park

      Themed Park!

First of all, staff was amazing. We were originally supposed to arrive on a Tuesday and we’re not able to make it. Staff shifted our reservation instead of us eating the missed night cost. Also super accommodating allowing us to extend a day longer last minute. Park is tight quarters with 200 spots. Two laundry rooms/bathrooms with showers on site, plus a cute little dog park! We stayed for three nights. Every “road” in the park is themed with California or Hollywood themed decorations and murals. We were parked right next to a Mister Roger’s mural across from the laundry/bathrooms. My only complaint in the noise level at times which is not from the park itself. Helicopters would fly over randomly, sometimes at night and it could be annoying when trying to sleep. Otherwise, absolute GEM of a place!

Launch Pointe Recreation Destination and RV Park

      Nicest cleanest campground

I had site 126 in the fields, corner site and lake view. This campground has a pool, splash pad, park, dog park and access to the lake. They also have a band on Saturday nights. The only bad part is they strictly enforce quiet time at 10pm. I felt like a kid being told to go to bed. I feel like on weekends people should be able to stay up late in front of their camper with low voices. Shouldn’t be hounded night after night! That was my only complaint.

      Hare School Park

It’s the sports fields parking lot

I’ve been here for a couple days and nobody’s mess with us. There’s other people that are staying in another parking lot attached that are homeless in their vehicles mostly cars and vans. I’m in a 25 foot Fleetwood RV. There’s a dog park kind of area with a big field they can run around and just clean up after them. There’s no public bathrooms, but there are trash cans so clean up after yourself please. It’s not tent friendly. I don’t believe.

      Palm View RV Park

      This place is good

This is our 2nd time here it's quiet and they have the most interesting walkabout garden with little kickbacks where u can chill with whoever. If you don't have anybody walk on over next to the garden to find some nice goats and sheep and up on the little hill there's cute chickens of all whom can be pet as for they are all used to being pet. We bought some food that we feed them.

Anaheim RV Park - PERMANENTLY CLOSED

Disney Camping - Clean, Pool, Very Nice Restrooms/Showers

Anaheim RV Resort is close to Disney and is on the Anaheim Resort Transportation (ART) bus route. They have full hook up sites and room for large rigs - back-in and pull through. They are very pet friendly and even have a dog walking/feeding service (for an extra fee). There is a small pool and hot tub. The restrooms/showers and newly remodeled and very nice! Sites are all level and fairly large. We've stayed here 4 times and will be back again!

Rolling M. Ranch Campground — Chino Hills State Park

      Beautifully scenic area

Sprawling lush green hills? Can’t beat Chino Hills State Park.
The campground itself feels very close together and wide open compared to the space of the park. Gets loud at night if there are too many groups camping. No cell service. Super clean bathrooms and showers.

PET OWNERS BEWARE: Our dog munched on a frog at this campsite and started foaming at the mouth. We rinsed her mouth out with water and she turned out fine, but a smaller dog or a swallowed frog and she could have died from toxicity.

    Guide to Westminster

Bolsa Chica State Beach Campground welcomes pets at both its RV and tent camping areas along the Pacific Coast Highway in Huntington Beach. This beachfront destination features water and electric hookups at concrete sites with nearby restrooms, showers, and a sanitary dump station. Newport Dunes RV Resort in Newport Beach offers additional pet-friendly accommodation options including cabins, glamping, and yurt rentals alongside traditional RV and tent sites. Leashed pets must be attended at all times throughout these campgrounds, with owners responsible for waste cleanup. The campground host at Bolsa Chica is known for being exceptionally helpful to campers with pets.

Beach access paths at these pet-friendly campgrounds connect directly to miles of paved walking trails perfect for dog exercise. Bolsa Chica's boardwalk runs the length of the beach area, providing endless walking opportunities for pets and their owners. Most sites at Bolsa Chica lack privacy between camping spaces, making this location better suited for social dogs comfortable with close quarters. Highway noise affects roadside sites, so pet owners concerned about noise sensitivity should request beach-facing spots when possible. For military personnel with pets, Seabreeze at Seal Beach offers a peaceful, well-maintained alternative with full hookups, though all visitors must have military ID or security pre-approval to access the base.
