TravelerWe stayed 6 nights in our 36 fr motor home with tow. Even though we were on a hill the campsight was level. We had plenty of room for rv and tow. The main campground ( and amenities) were down the hill a bit. We liked being on the hill away from the pool ect. Quite except for a little hiway noise(about like you’d expect) good water pressure and power worked great.
ScoutThe First thing you see when you pull in is a rundown trailer and buildings, over grown grass, dog kennels filled with chickens, it looks abandoned. As you keep driving it opens up into a cute little camp ground with a pretty little pond.
BUT…. There’s hardly ever anyone in the store. You sometimes even have to call to get someone to come down. There’s no staff after 9pm so well if something happens no one’s answering the phone you crap outta luck.
We check in they were nice but everything in the store looks like it’s from the dollar store and they $5 for it. We’re Andes a map that’s INACCURATE it’s got not only old tore down buildings that haven’t been there in years but also future planned buildings 🤦🏼♀️ We head to our camp site turns out there’s no actual bath just porta potty’s which I’m fine with if they we’re filthy and completely full. Also the showers there’s 4 down by the office for the entire camp ground to share. They are filled with bugs they stink oh and the whole time we stayed no one cleaned them one time.
To added to that there’s a seasonal group of campers that keep you up tell 4:30am and when you say something to staff they respind with well I live here and slept fine btw there’s no refunds. Ummm I didn’t ask for one I asked for you to speak to them because my sons autistic and has a harder with lack of sleep. Oh also we got asked to leave and take our tent down immediately because it flooded during a horrible storm that literally took trees down and neighbor took us in but we were not following the rules. And staying in someone else’s site is not allowed because that’s $10 a person extra which they charged us for too.
GuideMy hubby and I have been coming here for years! Awesome owners-they just retired so I hope the new owners keep the same traditions and don't make a lot of changes! You can get to your site early if no one is on it, stay later by letting them know.
A lot of Amish in the area with greenhouses) we got all of our summer flowers from them. A few bakeries-go early! Wood working stores, buggy shops and etc. Search Amish greenhouses on the web, you can print a map of all Amish in the area.
GuideThis is a nice campground. A little better than the average Wisconsin state campground.
Pros:

- Flush toilets (did not use showers)
- Very nice, sandy and swimmable beach (not true for some campgrounds that I've visited!)
Perk:
- If you call and place and order, a local baker will deliver fresh, homemade cinnamon rolls to your campsite. You can pay via mobile payment services. Just look for the signs on the road as you drive in. The only problem is now camping without waking up to fresh cinnamon rolls will be such a let down! :)
Cons:
- The campsites in the 900s didn't have a lot privacy.
- Walking from the 900s to the beach was a bit of a trek.
TravelerWe have really enjoyed our stay here with our two dogs! It’s extremely clean, kid and pet friendly, with lots of amenities. Staff is incredibly friendly! The only downside is that if you want visitors, there is a $5/visitor fee. Other than that, we would absolutely come back here again!

ScoutWe had an amazing time at Wolf River Trips and Campground! From start to finish, the entire experience was smooth and enjoyable. The check-in process was incredibly easy and well-organized, which made settling in stress-free. The staff were all friendly, helpful, and clearly take pride in what they do—they made us feel welcome right away. One of the biggest highlights was how clean the bathrooms were. You can tell they stay on top of maintenance and cleanliness, which is a huge plus when camping. It’s rare to find campground facilities that are this well taken care of. The food was another unexpected bonus! Whether you’re grabbing a quick bite or enjoying something more hearty, everything we had was tasty and well-prepared. It really added to the overall convenience and enjoyment of the trip. We’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a fun, easy, and clean outdoor getaway with great people and good food!
ScoutGreat spot, lots of trails, and the bathrooms were clean. Only gripe is the uncertain schedule they have for turning on water for the season. First week or two of may is a safe bet, but no promises. They have pit toilets open year round whatever the case
