Our RV accommodations include both pull-through and back-in spaces, electric, water, and sewer hook-ups. We also provide a bath house, laundry facilities, and 16 acres to stretch out and make use of picnic tables, fire pits, corn hole boards, and the on-site soda machine.

Our rustic studio cabin provides a quiet getaway on the hilltop, only steps away from our rafting departures. The cabin provides 2 queen beds, mini-frig, bathroom, sitting porch, and all linens.

The closest campground to the New River Gorge Bridge. Chestnut Creek Campground offers quiet primitive camping in the woods. We are a mere half a mile (0.5mi) from the New River Gorge Bridge! That's walking distance folks. Our hygienic facility has hot showers, lavatory stalls, hand washing sinks, and a wash basin located outside for dish washing and filling up water jugs. Firewood and Ice are available on site as well. Each campsite has a picnic table and a fire pit. A general store and burrito bar are located literally around the corner; Both are within walking distance. Hiking and Climbing trail-heads (Fern Buttress, Endless Wall, Beauty Mountain; to name a few) are just down the way and access to the river is a stone's throw away (our drive is just across from Fayette Station Rd). If you're wanting to venture further to more local restaurants/shops; we are only a 5 minute drive from downtown Fayetteville. We are a pet friendly establishment for those with dogs who love to travel as much as you do. We keep quiet hours from 11pm-7am (starts @ midnight on weekends). Mainly we accommodate rustic tent camping, however; some sites are able to accommodate pop-up campers and trailers up to 20ft (we do not have hookups/electric). Just minutes away from Cranberry back country ,Cranberry glades, Hillscreek falls and the highland scenic highway. 8 miles off of route 19 where you can enjoy Summersville Lake and Gauley River Whitewater. Just a few miles on down the road to the New River Gorge, where on an October day guests from around the world come to jump off a perfectly good bridge, with parachutes attached of course. Too many mountain streams to list all, where I myself enjoy fishing for our state fish Native brook trout. Cell service is sketchy in places, which I consider a plus if you want to enjoy all the beauty. My friend Rick Greene will take you and your family via mules and wagon to trout fish the Cranberry River, where no motor vehicles are permitted. Access only on foot, bike or horse. Take Gatewood Road to the Cunard turnoff, between Oak Hill and Fayetteville. Turn, then go 1.8 miles, then follow signs to Cunard River Access. Bear right through the boat launch parking lot and continue upstream for a mile. Sites are on the left. There are four shaded walk-in sites and one drive-in site for tents only.

Green Acres Campground 

Grandview Shelter #2 is a larger shelter located under the canopy of the forest. It can accommodate up to 80 people inside and 55 people outside the shelter for a total of about 135 people. Natural Features: Grandview became part of New River Gorge National River in 1990, after more than 50 years as one of West Virginias most popular day use state parks. The area offers spectacular views of the New River and beautiful displays of rhododendron. At the Main Overlook, 1,400 feet above the river, you see an active railway and the town of Quinnimont, where the first coal was shipped out of the gorge in 1873. Recreation: The Grandview area of New River Gorge National River features five hiking trails, overlooks, a seasonal visitor center, ranger-led activities, summer outdoor dramas (Theatre West Virginia), playgrounds, volleyball court, baseball field, and basketball court. Facilities: Shelter #2 offers two electrical outlets, and four charcoal grills. Playground equipment, horse shoe pit, drinking fountain with side spigot, and a handicapped accessible restroom are nearby. This shelter is also handicapped accessible with an asphalt walkway to the shelter for handicapped/elderly. Additional chairs, tables, and canopy tents are allowed. Nearby Attractions: The city of Beckley is approximately 12 miles from Grandview. It offers a wide variety of shopping, restaurants, and hotels. Popular attractions include a childrens museum, and Exhibition Coal Mine.
