4th of July

We enjoyed our stay. The first site we got was way too small for our tent and they accommodated us and gave us a choice of two others to pick from. A lot of seasonal people but friendly. Playground is on the beach. They don’t allow sparklers so that was a bummer ok the 4th, but still got to see…

Tented

The sites near the river were nice and quiet. Campground was ok a little run down but new owners said they were working on fixing up. The biggest reason for 3 stars not 5 the outhouse was awful and non functional. If they do nothing else they need to address this.

Very Loud

This is okay for what it is. The staff all seemed very friendly everytime we had interacted with them. The store was convenient. The bathroom was clean, but pretty cramped. Definitely aimed towards more of the RV/camper fields. It seems like the majority of the sites are seasonals. The tent…

Like State Parks Used To Be!

When we first heard of the North East Kingdom of Vermont, we had no idea where people were talking about, but something idyllic and natural came to mind. Ricker Pond State Park fits beautifully into this landscape. Getting here isn’t direct or easy, but the reward is worth it. Leave your mobile…

  • Plenty of space for our little rig, but bigger ones might struggle a bit.
  • Wildflowers and butterflies abound. Some mosquitos, but not bad by Vermont standards.
  • Cute lean-tos along the lake for tent campers, too.

Small Quiet Campground next to the river

I only stayed for one night but it was clean and the staff were friendly. Some sites are more private than others but overall quiet, and in a beautiful spot right next to the river. It's in a great location being near the main roads but far enough away that it seems remote.

River sites

Pros: Everyone was super nice & friendly! Fun events planned on the weekends I absolutely love the area! Close to many attractions campsite on the river & has water & electric hook-up....

Cons: some sites (my site) rite next to a busy road (noisy) & too close together The…

Not for us

This was our first time out with a camper after tenting for decades. As soon as we saw our site my heart fell. We were literally surrounded on all sides with no privacy at all. The site was small and across from the basketball hoop( not great if you want to sleep in). We walked around the…

Remote, decent views

Pretty remote. Lots of traffic. Found a site that people with a Prius wouldn’t be able to get to.

Super buggy in June. No cell service. But, plenty of privacy and solitude.

Absolutely awesome! Edited!

I will start with the ONLY drawback, and it is dramatic at best. For like 30 minutes a day at around 5pm (I was there Thursday to Monday) you would hear (pistol) gun fire. Its most annoying the first day, then you get over it.

Moving on…

This is absolutely the best kept and cleanest campground…

  • well made and well venting fire pit with cook top
  • site 22 has its own trail to the bath house behind

Nice campground

The campground is very friendly... a lot of seasonal folks. We had a nice corner site which fit our 34’ rig just fine. The sandy beach is nice but the swimming area is quite weedy. Our biggest issue though was the over-abundance of gypsy moth worms. Crawling over everything and the concern of…

Great Primative Location

I didn't get the chance to camp here, it was full when I drove through looking for a place. So I came back later in the weekend for pictures. Great location, easy access, on a nice brook. Fire ring only, no facilities and minimal parking.
