RVs are limited to 25 feet. The road softens considerably during mud season, so timing a visit for drier months reduces the risk of getting stuck.
Each site has a fire ring. No trash facilities or water are available on site, so campers need to pack both in and out. Cell coverage runs around two bars of LTE on some carriers. Bugs can be heavy in the meadows without a breeze, particularly during black fly season. This campground works best for self-sufficient campers with high-clearance vehicles who want free, no-reservation camping with open views of the Green Mountains.
