    Mountain Shadows RV Park

    Perfect overnight stay for us

We are a 40 foot with a tow. We only stayed here over night as we were passing through. Place was clean, friendly staff, spacious sites, ours had nice grass, dog friendly. Big beautiful dog run area with a waterfall. This would be a great long term or a it’s a very easy on off expressway stop. High recommend

    Canyon View RV Park

Just a parking lot, but in a beautiful park/awesome walk/bike trail!

First come, first serve, dump station on site(back of parking lot), friendly camphost; great access to an awesome bike/walk trail, close to town& Walmart

SITE: Water and Electricity only and all amenities worked great. All sites are back in and spaced in a large parking lot. Picnic table per site in the shade under the trees by your site; level site; all concrete; the sites are close together, but it wasn't full so the RVers thoughtfully spaced out from each other; full sun

CELL SERVICE: AT&T worked great- not all bars but it worked well for use working remote and no issues with video calls using our hotspot.

OTHER: Located on the edge of Canyon View Park. The park had just closed as they prep for their annual Christmas light show, but you could still walk on the trail through the park to access the main bike/walk trail which was awesome and goes on for many miles! We loved using this everyday we were there. Bathroom in the park was really clean. Dump station is in the parking lot(super convenient) on the back side. It was super gusty, windy at night and consistent every night from about 11pm- 10am. Maybe it's just seasonal? Make sure your awning is in!

    Washington Lake Campground

A very popular, family friendly, beautiful campground.

We stayed for 7 nights (the limit) in August of 2023. It's all paved, asphalt road and concrete pad for picnic table. Very beautiful setting with the large lake and mountains surrounding. Fishing-yes! Hand powered boating, hiking trails and lots of other lakes to explore.

There no water available but you can fill your RV, Trailer or whatever at the entrance to the Lost Creek CG which is about 3 miles east on Hwy 150. No Dump station, nearest being in Kamas.

Seems to be a popular place for local (SLC) families to gather. Family friendly so lots of kids. Quiet time 10PM to 6AM.

Really nice RV resort near Interstate. Pull throughs or back in on paved level sites. Picnic table. FHU. Sites typically close with grass area seperating. No shade or privacy. Giant chessboard. Nice pool area. Amazing clubhouse with pool table, foosball, large TV, comfy chairs, guest kitchen area. Complimentary coffee, tea and fresh made cookies. Friendly, helpful employees!

Dry Hollow Campground — Echo State Park

    Right by the lake

We are at a spot that is on a cement loop (#1) which was unlevel and it is not next to the lake but closer to the road (which is not too busy) but a view of the lake. You get a nice covered pavilion with a steel picnic table and fire ring with grate for grilling. The camp host was very sweet. Most of the sites are pull through and accommodates big rigs very well. The park managers keep it clean.

Chokecherry Campground — Deer Creek State Park

    Decent state park

Camped here last minute while driving through. Well-run, easy check in, reasonably priced.

There are both primitive tent and RV sites with hookups. Small to large sites, back-in and a few pull through. Lots of trees and lilac bushes offer some privacy.

Fire rings, plus BBQ grills, picnic tables at each site. Centrally located bathrooms were clean. Water, trash and dump station by entrance.

The campground is on an incline so there are decent views of the reservoir from just about anywhere and the mountain backdrop to the east. Small but clean beach. There was also ziplining and kayak rentals at the state park but both were closed due to COVID.

    Would camp here again.

    Lodgepole Campground

Lodgepole Campground - Group Site B

Nice basic campground just coming out of Heber City, UT on your way to Strawberry Reservoir. This is a fairly large campground with numerous sites. The group site parking was shallow. We could barely fit our 19 ft travel trailer and our truck. Outside of the group site it appears there are deeper sites that could accommodate a long fifth wheel. Parking space is wide enough to park another car next to trailer. There are a few tent sites as around the group site pavilion.

No hookups for RV’s. Dump station on site for $10 fee. RV spots are back in only. There is running water and flushable toilets on site; however, the water line was under repair and not turned on during our stay. It sounds like the repairs have been going on for a long time.

There is cellular service, but it’s a little slow. I have sprint carrier and had service.

Negatives: The campground is close a highway incline/decline which is frequented by Semi’s which bring lots of noise to the campground throughout the day and into the night.

Stinging Nettle: lots of stinging nettle located around group site B, so stay on the paths as much as possible.

    Hill AFB FamCamp

    Cute little spot

Great amenities, dog park, showers, laundry. Stayed here long term a couple times and it’s always a great stay! Close to the park, splash pad, and track. Hosts are pleasant. A little close together but good for being on base.
