Reservations are available online at Echo Island RV Resort, a full-hookup private resort outside Coalville that accommodates rigs up to 70 feet and runs $50 to $300 per night depending on site and season. The access road has drawn consistent mentions in reviews, with several campers noting that unpaved stretches kick up dust when traffic moves through, and at least one reviewer flagged a pair of narrow bridges toward the back of the property that can feel tight for heavier rigs. Large motorhomes pulling trailers should confirm site dimensions before arrival, as some listed measurements have not matched what guests found on the ground.
The resort sits where two small rivers converge, with gravel and grass sites shaded by trees and low mountains visible on multiple sides. Paul Y. describes it as a "beautiful setting on two small rivers with shade," and several campers note the stream running through the property is fishable. Sites in the back section are generally reported as more spread out and easier to maneuver than those near the entrance.
Weekend crowds are a consistent theme across reviews. This is an activity-oriented resort, not a low-key retreat. On-site amenities include two pools, two hot tubs, a food truck, a camp store, evening movie screenings, a zip line, treetop trampolines, and an obstacle course. As Jessica puts it, it "wasn't exactly quiet, but wasn't riotous either, especially staying further from the epicenter." Bathrooms and showers receive high marks across multiple reviews for cleanliness.
Nearby alternatives include Echo State Park Campground and Echo State Park- Dry Creek Campground, both a couple of miles north, for campers who want direct lake access with fewer amenities. Holiday Hills RV Park is another option just down the road. Echo Island works best for families with kids or groups who will make use of the activity infrastructure.
