Not really pretty and expensive

The camp ground itself is not bad. You have all the amenities that you could wish for when you are on the road. Including sites with full hook up and showers plus toilets that are in good condition. The camp store has food and drinks available. Very positive were the ladies at the reception. Very helpful and very sweet.

But the location is rather disappointing. Its located at the end of an old street and right in front of a dam, enclosed by some hills. You can hear the nearby highway. Not very pretty.

It feels a little cramped, the individual spots are very close to each other, so there is not much privacy. Plus, it is very expensive. I paid 78$ for a full hook up spot.

Probably better to check out the camp site Hailstone Camp Ground right up the hill, in the Jordanelle state park. It looked so much more beautiful when I passed by there the next morning.

Amazing place

We are really loving our stay here. We have already been here for 3 nights and are staying a week. The grounds are so well-maintained. We have two dogs and there’s lots of grass for them to play in. We don’t have children but there’s a very nice playground and small pond where they can fish - catch and release.
Not all spots have trees but there are a lot of trees. The spots are small gravel and rather level. We are happy with the size of our spot. Each spot has a fire pit and picnic table. Bathrooms are really nice and there’s a small store and firewood. A few spots have amazing views of the peaks. The wind gets pretty strong so we can’t always leave up our awning. But it comes and goes. The river that runs alongside is really pretty and if you cross the road there’s a larger river and a trail where dogs can go off leash. We would definitely come back here!

Not Van Friendly

Called in the morning to make a same day reservation. They have closed the restrooms as a COVID precaution and are requiring everyone to have a self contained bathroom/shower. Did not stay.

Bring your fly rod!

We loved our time at this beautiful park so much we added an extra day to our trip. The customer service was excellent- there was a friendly family vibe. Everything was very clean. The river is right across the street as well as a nice little walking path. Park City and Heber are just a short drive away. Beautiful, natural setting with the convenience of a city nearby.

Great place

Nice place with trees and large play areas for kids. On-site liquor store. Rv spaces kinda closely packed but still big enough to get our awning out. Camp sits at the base of the dam.
