Sweet little desert lake

Nice little desert lake with nice campground. Storms rolled in every afternoon. There was electric and water hookups. The lake was warm and clean. Be careful of rattlesnakes, scorpions and tarantulas. This area is also cougar County so don't let the little ones wander off outta sight. Rattlesnakes…

Great Folks that run the place

Reserved a spot 4 months out. Called then the day before. We were set! Full hook ups, away from highway noise. Laundry and Shower facilities very clean! It’s a small park, but Mark takes care of his guests.

Bathrooms and shower house closed, very rude

No space between rvs, bathrooms closed, probably because the fat bastard working there is too lazy to maintain them. Super rude to us when we decided not to stay bc the place was a dump.

Cute RV Park, Nice Staff

Stopped by to visit some family that work at the base, definitely the nicest park in town. There's a nice loop that goes around a pond perfect for walking pups, about a 0.5 mi loop total and you can get to it from the back of the park. Watch out for baby bunnies and Prarie dogs if you have a pup!

Nice location...perfect for an overnight

There are two camping areas here, Mesquite Loop & Pecos. Mesquite appeared to be more popular with tent campers which is where we camped. The site had a covered picnic table, fire pit (but burning was prohibited during our visit) and ample space to set up a tent. Lake was within view of the…

Hidden Gem

Stayed one night on the drive back to Texas. Happened upon this place and it was an easy after-hours check-in! Ran into the owner who was working late and he made sure we were settled and checked to see if we needed any help! Plenty of space at the pull through sites with easy hook-up. We will…

Good place to stop for the night

Stopped overnight on the way to Another campsite in Colorado. The site I stayed at was not great for tent camping as the ground was gravel-based. Not much to look at other than a very nice large man-made pond. It did look like there was some fishing to be had and there were clean bathrooms, etc.…

Nice view of the lake.

I stayed in a primative area near the lake shore. The campground, about 1/2 mile away had tables, toilets and water. Nice place but windy when I was there.

excellent base location

Spent a week on our travels around the western US. This location had one of the hardest working owners in any location. We had noticed a little sound from our passenger front brake. Ask if he knew someone, he did and said he would make the call. We then left for day and when we returned the the…
