ScoutIm From ohio that's were i stop to go out west the first time there google maps were wrong ! So I drove around the block and found it. There is NO locked gate nice little spot cows across the street after 12hrs riding good enough for me
LegendMet our needs for a quick overnight while traveling through Kansas. The park itself was beautiful, felt safe, and had lots of people recreating and enjoying themselves. There are 10 FCFS sites plus a tenting area. Self-register at the camping area entrance and then hang your tag on your rearview mirror. There weren't any posts to hang your portion of the receipt tag to mark our site if you were to leave and head into town or something, however, so you'd have to find some other way to mark your area. Bathrooms were a bit nasty. There was also a door marked showers, but had a coded lock. Maybe the county building has the code if you were to call? The park and even the campground seems to be quite the cruise route--a lot of people driving through day and night, so sleep wasn't the best. Would stay again if needed.

We were tired from a long drive with a bunch of rain near the end, and we ended up just sleeping in the parking lot. it was actually comfortable and level enough, which is why I'm not giving this one star.
GuideI stayed in the Echo Hollow section EH4. It finally got quiet at around 9 pm. With the recent rains that just came through, the flies were really bad. I didn't cook anything just so I didn't attract more flies. There were very few people here maybe because it is the beginning of May and not peak season. It was well kept. Water and electric worked and there was a fire ring that I did not use. There was also a picnic table at each site and trees around the area. Shower house was not close to me so I did not shower until I left in the morning. The toilet house had 2 stalls with no doors or curtains in front of the toilets.
ScoutThis is a city park with a mile walking loop, playgrounds, bathrooms, a couple spots with RV power hookups, and a dump station. The first night is free and then it's $20/night up to 7 nights in a thirty day window. It is right by the train tracks, but we were able to sleep through once we fell asleep.
When you cross the train tracks, turn right and the RV park is passed the aquatic center. There are about 7 spots, at least 3 with electric hookup. First come, first served and you call the number on the sign to register.
GuideUnique camp site on a horse meadow. No worries the horses are not on the same spot during your stay. Rustic camp ground with a picnic table and a fire pit with wood. Water and a vault toilet are a short walk away. We enjoyed the campfire, stargazing and the sound of a nearby owl a lot. We only did an overnight stop but the kids wanted to stay longer. Very friendly and helpfull host.
