RV parks in the Webb City area provide a range of site options for traveling motorhomes and trailers. Big Red Barn RV Park in Carthage features 57 level pull-through sites with full hookups including 50/30 amp electrical service, water and sewer connections. Concrete pads throughout the park can accommodate larger rigs, and each site includes a picnic table. "Sites are level with crushed stone pads. Good water pressure. Lots of grass. Patio sites are available," noted one visitor about the general quality of RV parks in the region. Downstream RV Park in Joplin offers big-rig friendly sites with 50-amp service and water hookups, while Zans Creekside RV Park provides both 30-amp service and sewer connections in a more natural setting near water features.

Several campgrounds maintain year-round availability for seasonal travelers, though advance reservations are recommended, particularly for premium sites with lake views or extra shade. Utilities vary significantly between parks - some offer cable television while most provide trash service and dump stations. Cell reception is generally reliable throughout the area, with most reviews mentioning good Verizon coverage of 3-5 bars at various locations. For RVers traveling with pets, most parks are pet-friendly, though some enforce specific restrictions. Sanitary dump stations are available at most parks, including Big Red Barn, Downstream, and Camp Mi Casa, with some offering this service free to registered guests. During summer months, parks with mature trees providing shade become particularly desirable, with one camper recommending sites 4, 6 or 38 when summer camping for better protection from direct sun.

    Gunn Park

    Nice quiet campground

We have stayed there about 6 times. Very quiet. Needs some renovations. Sites are not level and need either more gravel or concrete. Most of the sites are 30 amp and no dump station. Water and electric only.

Big rigs at some of the sites will have a problem. Renember this is a old campground. Fishing from the shore is great no boats. Adult children ( seniors) lol are there every day looking to catch dinner.

Grand Lake O' the Cherokees RV Resort by Rjourney

    Well Run Campground

Cedar Oaks is a very easy campground (CG) to find and get into. We did not have a designated site number but had requested back-in site 90 on the lake or a pull through from 64 to 73. We got our first choice and after an easy check-in we were escorted to site 90 and were assisted backing in. This site had a large lawn area due to site 91 being decommissioned because of flooding a while back. We enjoyed a very nice lake view as this site is probably the best site in the park. The site next to us, 89, was very near on our utilities side, but 89 still had some lake view. There is no cable TV here but we got a good variety of OTA channels. We got 3 bars on Verizon and the park WiFi was average for a park this size. There are permanent and seasonal residents here plus dedicated transit/short term areas. Most sites in this CG have a shot to the southern sky if you want to use satellite. There are two small fenced dog areas but plenty of room to walk your dogs. There is also a bathhouse and boat launch plus slips. This was our second stay here and we would stay here again in the future.

Gopher Valley - Twin Bridges — Grand Lake State Park

    Pleasant RV/Tent campground

Gopher Valley campground in on of several campground in the Twin Bridges area of Grand Lake State Park.  This campground is fully paved with both full hook up RV camping area, tent camping area and areas that work for both.  Campground have drive through and pull in sites.  Sites all have picnic tables and metal fire rings.  Campground has a large pavilion which can be rented.  The pavilion has a huge BBQ grill.  Campground has a small playground for the kids.  Small restroom with showers is available.  With the exception of the RV pull through sites all the other sites have plenty of grass to set up a tent.  Sites can be reserved.

Bernice Area — Grand Lake State Park

    Grand Lake

Nice quiet campground on Grand Lake. Spots are spacious on back-in concrete pads. Each spot has 50/30/20 power, bbq grill, fire ring, picnic table and light on the power pole. There are flush toilets and hot showers in the bathrooms. Reservations are easily made online. We had a spot near the water with a nice view of the lake. I had good 5G cell reception with Verizon.

    Joplin KOA

    Nice enough

Clean and well maintained KOA. Friendly personnel. Shaded, pull thru sites as well as back-ins, cabins, and tent sites. Sites are very level with crushed stone pads. Good water pressure. Lots of grass. Patio sites are available. Internet is poor, as typical of most RV parks. Cable tv with about 30 channels. Good stopover park.

    Stage Stop Campground

    Great little campground!

Great little campground! Full hookups for reasonable price. Quiet and convenient. Good size sites and easy in/out! Very well maintained. Cute amenity buildings (built to look like old west). Small dog run area. Very cute field area with creek & playground & old rustic farm equipment made into yard decor.

    Good facilities for groups

This park has level, pull-through shaded lots and a quiet location. Our group used the rally barn for meetings, and their fire pit for the evening, which were bonus features. The camp host made cinnamon rolls for us on Sunday!
