The park is near the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation's Paddlefish Research & Processing Center, which collects important biological data, processes paddlefish meat for anglers and salvages paddlefish eggs. Worth the twenty minute drive from Grove. The remote location is great when you want to get away and feel like you are actually camping. The park is in the woods so almost all the spaces are shaded by beautiful old growth trees. We prefer this to the glorified parking lots that so many newer rv parks have become. The kids enjoy the outdoor pool and the lake views from the north side of the property are second to none at Grand Lake. Finally, the staff have been extremely friendly and helpful when we've stayed here and rates are great, especially for members.

I hate this place and will never go back. I did primitive tent camping for 2 nights with my 5 kids and a 5 mile float in a raft. It was over $500. The raft, by design, took on several inches of water so we couldn’t keep anything dry. Then, they didn’t have a pick up bus. We had to walk down the highway back to the office after floating for 6 hours and then waiting for an hour and even calling twice. The kids behind the counter don’t have a clue what is going on and are completely unapologetic when they mess everything up (our reservations, the float instructions, the pick up bus…). They made zero effort to make anything right and the counter girl even laughed at me for being upset. When I got mad and asked to speak to someone who knows how a business is supposed to operate she called security to throw my son and I out. We left early, ate the money and paid a different campsite down the street where the staff are friendly and helpful.

We stayed here for a quick weekend getaway trip and it was fantastic. All the sites are gravel so when we had a few rain showers it did not cause a muddy mess for our campfire evenings. The owner was super nice and very communicative ensuring we had everything we needed. He delivered firewood we purchased to our tent while we were at the park and, he even stayed up past midnight to see us in as we drove up from Oklahoma. New camp store, nice clean bathrooms, new showers, and a quiet stay with amazing star gazing. Lastly the campground is 5 minutes to the river to fish. Would highly recommend.

LegendThis is a great RV resort close to the water but with very little shade. It is right across the street from Tera Miranda that has a cool restaurant on the water though. There are park models and group houses as well as RV pads. Nice central location on Monkey Island.
LegendThis isn’t my typical style of campground because this is more of a parking lot style camping. However, they have a really cool hang out area, a clear creek to play in, and a waterfall area to explore. I’d you are passing through, this is a great place to stop and rest for the night!
GuideThe most important thing I can tell you is the bathrooms smell like sewage and are dirty. I came to stay because I read how amazing it was. It is not. It’s kind of like staying in a giant parking lot. One side has trees the other a road. It was easy to get to the greenway and ride. However there is so much construction that it is better to create your own ride. So if you don’t mind a gross bathroom or you have an RV with one then it’s worth it. The people were very nice and helpful.

This is a nice campground and most of the sites are huge. And some of them have a nice view of the river. They have full hookups and pretty good signal. The bathrooms are not the best but they have really nice playground for the kids. I would come back and camp here again.

I have a mostly stock 4Runner. We were able to drive it around on a lot of very light off-road trails. There were many more intense off-road options and challenges though. They have RV hookups there and plenty of places to park and vehicle-camp or to set up a tent. Trails were $35 a day and camping was $15 per person per night.
LegendWoody Trail Campground has lots of options. From walking tent sites with or with out electricity, RV site with hook-ups and even cabins, this campground has something for everyone. All sites are nicely distanced from each other. Campground roads are paved. Sites have picnic tables Metal fire pits, and BBQ grills. Trash service and water as well as flush toilets and showers available. Campground has a large pavilion. Play ground for the kids and horse shoe pits. Tent sites with electricity have covered picnic tables.

ScoutWe stayed in late June in the Rocky Cove Campground on the lake. The lake itself is dotted with campgrounds. Rocky Cove has concrete pad sites, nice and level, both on and away from the lake. The lake sites have power only, and the Prime sites (opposite the lakeside sites) have water and power both. We don't have water in our teardrop, so we got water from an unoccupied site.
The sites are small, and for the summer, don't stay in site #118 (a lakeside site), as it has no protection from the sun. The sun sets across the lake and although the view is great, the sun bakes the campsite from morning until 9 pm. The site next door, #120 is nice and shady. In winter, the desirability of the sites might be reversed.
The odd thing about the campground is that there is no bathroom or showers. At all. You have to go to the next campground over, Oak Point. Not convenient. Overall, Oak Point appears to be the better choice, with more trees, larger sites and a convenient bathroom (with ice machine at the entrance). I should note the restroom was "clean enough". Not terrible, not great. The shower I used had merely a trickle, but my wife's had great pressure. The hand dryer in the men's room looked corroded and was out of order (in Oak Point)
All the campgrounds appeared quiet, and the people there were friendly. We would go back, but stay in Oak Point.
LegendCedar Oaks is a very easy campground (CG) to find and get into. We did not have a designated site number but had requested back-in site 90 on the lake or a pull through from 64 to 73. We got our first choice and after an easy check-in we were escorted to site 90 and were assisted backing in. This site had a large lawn area due to site 91 being decommissioned because of flooding a while back. We enjoyed a very nice lake view as this site is probably the best site in the park. The site next to us, 89, was very near on our utilities side, but 89 still had some lake view. There is no cable TV here but we got a good variety of OTA channels. We got 3 bars on Verizon and the park WiFi was average for a park this size. There are permanent and seasonal residents here plus dedicated transit/short term areas. Most sites in this CG have a shot to the southern sky if you want to use satellite. There are two small fenced dog areas but plenty of room to walk your dogs. There is also a bathhouse and boat launch plus slips. This was our second stay here and we would stay here again in the future.
