Comfort stations with showers are nearby. RV and tent campsites must be reserved online. The park also offers one-room lake huts with electricity, ceiling fans and screened windows. Outside the lake huts you will find grills, tables, water and restroom facilities. The park is near the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation's Paddlefish Research & Processing Center, which collects important biological data, processes paddlefish meat for anglers and salvages paddlefish eggs. Indian Creek lies on the northern banks of Mark Twain Lake. It is the largest campground on the lake with 215 standard campsites, plus additional non-electric and tent-only sites.
The lake is named for the beloved writer and humorist, Mark Twain, who was born just south of the lake in Florida, Missouri.
Located along the Elk River in Southwest Missouri, River Ranch offers different selections of camping areas. For those searching for a more private space, primitive tent camping is available. Electric tent camping is also available for those requiring electricity. River Ranch camping is also RV camping friendly as well.
The 500-acre park features six campgrounds. There are 28 primitive sites, 38 electric only sites, 25 50amp/water sites, and 20 30amp/ water sites. All of the campsites have a spectacular view of the lake.
The majority of the parks campsites can be reserved.
Lakeview Group Use area has 10 electric sites and is located at the south end of the lake. It is ideal for family reunions, club campouts, and other group activities.
Crawford State Park offers five lakefront rental cabins with all the comforts of home in a beautiful lake setting. The cabins are by available by reservation and are open year round.
For your convenience there are two boat ramps, three bathhouses, courtesy docks, and a dump station. Four hiking and biking trails, and a swimming beach offer more recreational opportunities in addition to camping, fishing and boating. Limited food and convenience items and delicious meals are available at the marina restaurant Friday breakfast through Sunday. In the summer months there is campground programming for all to enjoy. Anglers enjoy excellent fishing for channel catfish, crappie, and striped bass.

This is the best place to stay when floating the Elk River. Lots to choose from, cabins, tents, campers, etc. Have a late night loop (for the partiers), sand volleyball courts, shuttle to a nearby open air dance club, huge store and restaurant with good pizza and breakfast buffet. The cabins are nice as well. This is our go to spot for the Elk River year after year. Canoes, rafts, kayaks, etc. They have a 5 and 8 mile float option, depending on river conditions.

Clean and well maintained KOA. Friendly personnel. Shaded, pull thru sites as well as back-ins, cabins, and tent sites. Sites are very level with crushed stone pads. Good water pressure. Lots of grass. Patio sites are available. Internet is poor, as typical of most RV parks. Cable tv with about 30 channels. Good stopover park.

Have camped here several times over the years and we have a large party that camps and floats together every year. This place is definitely a party camp. There is a general store on site that also sells food and ice cream. They definitely have you packed in there on the weekend and there are small cabins to rent if you are not a camper but want to float.

Woody Trail Campground has lots of options. From walking tent sites with or with out electricity, RV site with hook-ups and even cabins, this campground has something for everyone. All sites are nicely distanced from each other. Campground roads are paved. Sites have picnic tables Metal fire pits, and BBQ grills. Trash service and water as well as flush toilets and showers available. Campground has a large pavilion. Play ground for the kids and horse shoe pits. Tent sites with electricity have covered picnic tables.

Worth the twenty minute drive from Grove. The remote location is great when you want to get away and feel like you are actually camping. The park is in the woods so almost all the spaces are shaded by beautiful old growth trees. We prefer this to the glorified parking lots that so many newer rv parks have become. The kids enjoy the outdoor pool and the lake views from the north side of the property are second to none at Grand Lake. Finally, the staff have been extremely friendly and helpful when we've stayed here and rates are great, especially for members.

We stayed here for a quick weekend getaway trip and it was fantastic. All the sites are gravel so when we had a few rain showers it did not cause a muddy mess for our campfire evenings. The owner was super nice and very communicative ensuring we had everything we needed. He delivered firewood we purchased to our tent while we were at the park and, he even stayed up past midnight to see us in as we drove up from Oklahoma. New camp store, nice clean bathrooms, new showers, and a quiet stay with amazing star gazing. Lastly the campground is 5 minutes to the river to fish. Would highly recommend.

There are several campgrounds around the lake. I always stay in the Night Hawk campground at Indian Creek. There are a variety of hookup options for tent or camper/RV guests. There are shower houses with hot water, I have seen the crews regularly cleaning the bathroom/shower houses however be aware that there are still going to be bugs. Spalding beach is nice on hot summer days for swimming or just lying out in the sun. On Saturday nights there is a couple from the Corps of Engineers that do free activities for kids and families that we really enjoy. There is also a great restaurant, The Rustic Oak nearby that we visit every time we go to the lake. If you are looking for a peaceful weekend getaway this is the place!

ScoutHad an awesome hike, more incline/decline than I was expecting for the area! The caves were closed off due to walkway damage. Loved the lookout over the Missouri River! One less fun but not trip ruining detail, were the ticks. I went in August and they were pretty bad, tons on our legs and on my dog just from the hike. Next time I'll be prepared with deet!

GuideThis is a nice campground and most of the sites are huge. And some of them have a nice view of the river. They have full hookups and pretty good signal. The bathrooms are not the best but they have really nice playground for the kids. I would come back and camp here again.
Ranger‘‘This Campground has sections. The one group is the (Sentury) Indian, and the second loop is the Eagle Point Fox loop. We were at the Sentry loop. We liked site 71 in that loop. It offered the most space and was a full hook up. That is one of the best things about this campground. Several full hookups. Boat ramp was nice. Not great but ok for kayaking. Nice swim beach. Campground host we met was not very friendly or helpful.

ScoutNot a bad place to go camp and float. Bathrooms are a little run down and small, the sand volleyball court was ruined by the recent flooding and still has yet to be repaired. The tent camping was decently set up and good sized. Fit 2 8 person and 1 4 person tent on one site, with tons of room to spare. There is a wash station to wash any dishes you use in the little store at the front. Overall a good option for floating and camping.

ScoutI hate this place and will never go back. I did primitive tent camping for 2 nights with my 5 kids and a 5 mile float in a raft. It was over $500. The raft, by design, took on several inches of water so we couldn’t keep anything dry. Then, they didn’t have a pick up bus. We had to walk down the highway back to the office after floating for 6 hours and then waiting for an hour and even calling twice. The kids behind the counter don’t have a clue what is going on and are completely unapologetic when they mess everything up (our reservations, the float instructions, the pick up bus…). They made zero effort to make anything right and the counter girl even laughed at me for being upset. When I got mad and asked to speak to someone who knows how a business is supposed to operate she called security to throw my son and I out. We left early, ate the money and paid a different campsite down the street where the staff are friendly and helpful.
ScoutHorrifying. A huge fight broke out in the late night cove on Friday and staff handled it very poorly. There was a Very large guy shouting for people to wake up, and to come fight him, during quiet hours and was going threw everyone stuff while everyone was asleep! He even opened a tent while a girl was In there unclothed and started shouting about it!!! And the staff got into the girls faces that were saying the guy was going through their stuff.. not the guy who was going threw their stuff and caused the entire fight. the cops finally kicked him out about 2 and a half hours after he started the fight between everyone and then about 30 mins later, a car rolls through and they shout“I hope you know how to duck” talking about shooting the place up!!!! No one On the staff was patrolling during the night so they didn’t even know what was happening... There was no way to get ahold of the staff, we had to call 911 and it took forever for the cops to get there! We were so scared. It was a ton of people screaming at each other from 330-530 am... the bathrooms are shared male/female, so there is literally piss everywhere. The bathrooms don’t lock and the door is too far away to just hold it shut, and the toilet paper was gone by about 8pm Friday night.. we bought 2 pair of water shoes from their store and they both fell apart by the end of the day.. The river had no current, so you had to paddle. And there were spots that were too shallow and everyone had to get out and u had to drag the raft.. There was no“floating down the river” The river also had a ton of branches and turned over trees, it’s very dangerous if you are not watching what you are doing, so how does that go hand in hand with a bunch of drunk people? We watched several people flip because they didn’t know how to handle these trees.. there were no signs anywhere so you have no idea where you are, how far you’ve gone, or how far you have left to go. And now today, 1 day after floating, I am covered in rashes from the water. Just overall a very unsafe experience.
