ScoutWe spent the July 4th, 2025 holiday weekend here, and I can honestly say it was unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, the owners went out of their way to make us feel welcome and comfortable—their kindness and attention to detail made us feel right at home. Even though they had many campers, we always felt like VIPs, and it was obvious that every guest was treated with the same warmth and care. The river was simply stunning, and one evening we enjoyed a live band that got everyone smiling and tapping their feet. The fireworks show was the biggest I’ve ever seen up close—I was truly amazed! The facility was very clean, which I really appreciated. All in all, we had a fantastic time and I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking for a memorable getaway.
ScoutThis place was awesome. The camp sites are spread out so there's plenty of room. We stayed in the quaint little bunkhouse with an air conditioner and all the amenities that we needed- a little frig, toaster oven, microwave, sink, coffee maker with pods, storage the we could use for our things we brought and the bunk beds that held 5 of us. The owners are great people who take pride in their property. Very attentive and ready to help provide anything we needed. There is so much to do and for all ages. Great family fun activities and very nice layout plus she even brought us freshly baked cookies that I believe to be the best chocolate chip cookie I think I've ever had! I highly recommend this place and I hope to stay there again some day.
Guidethe stars were beautiful, the “sites” were spacious and well spread out, and there is lots of shade. you could definitely get a big rig in and out of here on the looped gravel roads.
GuideWell maintained Campground. Lots of trees on outer loop 3. Very nice family site. Breeze off the lake kept the 90 degree days bearable. Restrooms are old but well maintained. Camp store is mostly an ice cream shop, no camping related items to speak of. Camp hosts are friendly. Not much of the late night noise enforcement. Dog friendly

GuideHarry Truman State Park is a stunning spot, more so if you are a water lover. The campsites are large, with lots of trees to add privacy. Two boat launch areas make it very convenient for people who will spend time on the water. They do have three hiking trails (one was closed for storm repairs).
My site was just off of the main road, but I didn’t hear much traffic throughout the night. It seems to be a very quiet area
ScoutIm From ohio that's were i stop to go out west the first time there google maps were wrong ! So I drove around the block and found it. There is NO locked gate nice little spot cows across the street after 12hrs riding good enough for me
ScoutThird time we have stopped here, and the third time was just as good as the first. David is doing a great job taking care of all us Happy Campers. It's not the biggest park but has excellent facilities that make up for its size.
