Anglers casting lines into Truman Lake will find Sparrowfoot Campground positioned along the water's edge with direct access to fishing spots. This Army Corps of Engineers facility operates year-round with sites accommodating RVs up to 91 feet, featuring full hookups including 30 and 50-amp electrical service.
The campground divides into two distinct loops with different atmospheres. Loop A sits closer to the lake with sites A17, A18, and A19 offering the shortest walk to water access, though these spots receive morning sun before afternoon shade arrives. Loop B provides a quieter environment with the main shower house, flush toilets, and laundry facilities. Devin M. notes "Loop B is much quieter with fewer guests." This loop also houses the playground behind site B47, though it lacks swings and seating areas.
Recent infrastructure updates following flood damage include new electrical pedestals and water systems throughout both loops. Sites feature level gravel driveways with most configured as back-in spaces. The shower house maintains hot water with good pressure, while vault toilets serve Loop A. Cell service varies by carrier, with some campers reporting excellent T-Mobile coverage while others experience minimal connectivity for streaming.
A gravel road extends past Loop B to a parking area with lake access, including small bluffs for jumping and a beach-style area with softer entry points. For additional camping options in the region, consider places to camp near Clinton about six miles northwest.
