Exit 45 a Cumberland

Very pleased and sites were flat and beautiful views. Very clean as well. Love the apple trees that outline the property. Owners were very accommodating to us as we came in late

Amazing campsite

We loved our stay at this campground! It was clean and well maintained. Additionally, there was only two other groups there on a Sunday night.

A really nice state park

This is a really nice state park.  Although the  campground was nearly full when we were there it didn't feel crowded.  Sites are reasonably spaced and ours looked out on a wide open grassy field which made it feel spacious. The woman at the entrance was really nice and helped us transition to a…

Family Campground

Nice campground for families with bathrooms, pool, pond, and general store. If you are looking for somewhere peaceful and secluded, this probably isn’t it. BUT there are some positives- it’s extremely close to 15 mile creek, the Potomac, and Bill’s bar. A lot of the sites are rented all year for…

Beautiful falls

Campground up the road from the main day use area with the falls. Absolutely gorgeous. The walk to the falls is super easy and accessible. Other hikes around too. Campground is pretty basic but nice.

Nice campground, nice lake

The campground is large. The primary attraction is the lake, which is nice for kayaking. There is also a small beach area for swimming. Some nice trails and a few are available for bikes.

A crowded car camping experience

New Germany State Park is situated in Garrett County Maryland. The park has a small lake, a few trails, and two camping loops. The Hemlock loop- the only loop that allows pets, is smaller and is mostly made for tent camping, though one site has electricity, but only big enough for a teardrop…

Nice hiking, kayaking & swimming

We hiked around Rock Cliff Lake and observed petrified wood. Swimming is excellent with sand beach. Big catfish in clear water. Water was so clean that it was throbbing with anfreshwater jellyfish. Very clean campground. Nice spot. The trout pond was dry.

Family Trip

The sites are Spacious but we only had electric at our site no water. The bathhouse had a lot to be desired. The showers are push button maybe 30 seconds of water before it turns off and no temperature control. Made for a cold shower even in June!

Very private peaceful little camp

This is a very private peaceful little camp. Nice flat sites with fire pits and tables. Primitive sites but generators are allowed until 10pm. Right on the river and close to the Fort. Very polite and helpful park personal.

Cabin 58

Swallow Falls has a great loop trail where you see four waterfalls. You can walk to the loop from the campground. It ma be adds a third of a mile to the hike.

We stayed in cabin 58, which has a short, easy path to the bathhouse and even shorter to the mud sink. This was very handy when…

Nice state park with a lake

Stayed 3 nights because I wanted to be centrally located to the he Flight 93 Memorial and Falling Water (about 30 miles to each). The non pet section is heavily wooded and very shady. The pet section is more of a loop set up with some trees. The no pet section had no, zero, zilch cell service so…

Beautiful but crowded

We arrived on a Friday to find that almost all of the campsites were full, though some campers had not registered. If you go— REGISTER. It takes all of two minutes and helps arriving campers figure out if there’s actually space.

It looked like a relatively nice site, except that the sites were…
