Hikers and paddlers moving along the C&O Canal towpath will find Town Creek Hiker-biker Overnight Campsite a practical stop, with boat-in and hike-in access and a large open lawn that can accommodate a dozen or more tents. Three picnic tables and multiple fire rings make it more functional than typical hiker-biker sites along the route. The site sits away from the railroad corridor, which reviewers note reduces nighttime noise compared to earlier stops on the trail. A working hand pump and port-a-potty are on-site. No pets are permitted, and the campsite is free to use as part of camping near Chesapeake & Ohio Canal National Historical Park. Cyclists planning multi-day trips can continue west to Potomac Forks Hbo Campsite roughly 2.7 miles down the trail.
