Swimming options: Multiple water features provide alternatives to ocean swimming. "The pool is a nice size and refreshing. They have done great activities for the kids to keep them busy," notes Sue V.
Playground access: Parks with multiple play areas accommodate different age groups. At Sun Outdoors Rehoboth Bay, "They have a beautiful heated pool, waterfront tiki bar, on site store and restaurant, kayak and golf cart rental and they seem to be adding more every year," reports April L.
Educational opportunities: Nature programs at state parks and private campgrounds offer learning experiences. "The playgrounds were nice and they also have a small skateboard\BMX ramp area, as well as a very cute dog park with their own playground equipment," mentions Shannon D.
Tips from RVers
Site selection: At Delaware Seashore State Park, "Sites were level and paved along with some sand and grass. Also a picnic table - no fire rings at the sites, but there were a couple campfire areas scattered around the park," notes Gayle B.
Hookup positioning: Power outlet locations can create challenges at certain sites. "RV sites are very large and located along a treeline. 30 amp power works fine but odd numbered sites have the outlet on the wrong side of the trailer," explains Jack K. about Strawberry Crossroads.
Golf cart rentals: Several campgrounds offer golf carts to navigate larger properties. "We thoroughly enjoyed our time at this campground resort! Multiple playgrounds, minigolf, plenty for the kids to do. You can rent a golf cart, shoot pool, or play table tennis," recommends Janelle G.
