I originally booked three nights here to explore Mammoth Cave.
I arrived to find the campground pretty much empty, but a lot further from the main area of the park than I thought.
Poor research on my part....
Ended up transferring over to another campground closer to the main park entrance.…
I actually had a really good stay here, but I will say that the water park was closed and it wasn’t peak season. They do keep the campground up and it is very friendly service. I like that they had cable and a full hook up and the showers and bathrooms were nice
One of our favorite campgrounds! The campground is huge! There are 6 loops to choose from. Be sure to make sure of site lengths and if there is electric (because not all have electric in every loop) our personal favorite is loop E. Sites are varying in condition and some aren’t very level, but…

This place I can't even begin . I have lived in KY ALOT OF MY LIFE .I HAD NO IDEA THIS EXISTED. AND I STILL HAVE A HARD TIME I FEEL LIKE I HAVE OPENED THE DOORS OF A STORY BOOK AND THERE IT IS THIS PLACE IVE BEEN LOOKING FOR BUT ALWAYS THOUGHT I HAD TO GO FAR AWAY TO SEE SOMETHING LIKE THIS OR…
Our site was so small I could barely fit my pop-up and compact pickup on it. Arrived after dark and fell down a 2-3 foot drop-off at the edge of asphalt. Picnic table was in the grass at about a 30 degree tilt. Fire pit was 30 feet away in the bottom of a wash.
Had a great time. Wish we could have stayed longer
Great views of the lake from most sites. The only bad is that it’s hard to get reservations.
Spent Thanksgiving here as a way to just have a quiet relaxing time.
A lot of people pull in for the night since it's right off the highway and behind a Pilot/Flying J, but it was still quiet.
Got to chat at length with the owner and you can tell he cares about the property.
Will stay again when…
The park is small and cramped. Sites are very close together. The rates are extreme for this area.
Lock A is one of our most favorite places to camp!! Clean, level with water and electric hookups. Lots of places to walk/hike with our dogs; we especially love watching the barges moving along the Cumberland River. We come back any time we can.

This campground was fantastic. Our family has been in search of a campground close to home where we can spend several weekends each year and this may be it. The sites are spacious, the campground is clean, the bathhouses were VERY clean, and the hosts were friendly and helpful. The only thing…

Loved it. Great spot. Plenty of space. Friendly staff.
This park was amazing! We loved our views of the water, having hikes and geocaching right from the campsite and multiple playgrounds was a real treat!
We loved being on a cul de sac for our little one and enjoyed the large campsite with room to roam! It was a little odd that our fire pit was…
This park is located on a peninsula on a lake close to Nashville. Almost every site has a view of the water on flat concrete big pads. Some sites, on higher land, are mostly long term residents. Most sites are back in but there are a few pull through. Each site has all hook ups and are very well…
We've enjoyed our stay here. There are very few RV parks in the Nashville/Franklin area and are more on the outskirts. We were happy to get a site here as it's relaxing by the lake. Wifi worked good most of the time and cell service was 3 of 4 bars AT&T. Very level pad and all roads and sites…
