Interstate traffic creates a constant hum at RJourney Clarksville RV Resort, where campers trade quiet for convenience just off I-24. The campground sits in a valley that amplifies highway noise, particularly affecting pull-through sites closest to the road. Most visitors arrive for overnight stops between Nashville and Land Between the Lakes, drawn by easy access and full hookups.
The resort features predominantly pull-through sites with full electric, water, and sewer connections, some extending up to 100 feet for larger rigs. Each site includes a grassed area and picnic table, with mature shade trees throughout the property. "Clean, comfortable, well laid out, average siza sites, completely level," describes Kerry M.. The bathhouse draws consistent praise for cleanliness and modern fixtures, though accessibility appears limited.
A pool, playground, and volleyball net provide recreation options, while a communal fire pit anchors evening gatherings. The on-site store stocks RV supplies and convenience items, with laundry facilities located behind the office. Verizon and T-Mobile provide strong cell coverage, and free WiFi serves basic needs with faster speeds available for $3 daily per device. Activities include outdoor movies, games, and food truck visits.
Site selection significantly impacts the camping experience. Pull-through sites near the interstate serve overnight travelers but experience constant traffic noise that sound machines cannot mask. Sites farther from I-24 offer more respite, while locations near the metal recycling operation across the street face early morning equipment noise starting at 6 AM. The resort operates year-round with reservations available, though walk-ins pay an additional $20 booking fee.
For extended stays exploring the region's camping near Clarksville, request sites away from both the interstate and industrial operations for the quietest experience possible.
